I read all the chapters in one go as I was away on holiday.. Lovely story with Sk is cynical as he was abused and bullied by his dad and at school and effected by his dads womanizing behavior. He is also v influenced by his granddad who was v cynical about women and life..
Sk is rich and father has lost money but gained a daughter Mehak, Sk is v attracted by MS but his mind is telling him not to trust women as they are all s**ts..Mehak is wearing revealing cloths to get his attention and driving Sk mad with desire..Although he does not want much to do with her, he does not want her to have a chance in life either and jealous of attention she can get from men..Mehak has tamed Harish and he is turning into a good dad.Mehak and Sk although are step sis and brother but do not have the same blood as both of them have different set of biological parents so they can have relationship.

I like how she is taunting him with his own words and driving him up the wall will her choice of cloths which infuriated him.
Now that she figured out he is jealous this is gonna be fun watching her setting him straight 😆.

Chapter 8: Cherry blossoms

Shaurya watched Rajeev walking towards his son and picking him up.
He followed them outside.
"Swetlana would have married me if I did not have you. Vicky, you ruined my life from day one He told the little child who giggled unaware because of his infancy. Shaurya felt sick, his grandfather was right. Rajeev was a monster.
Just like his father driven lust. The child reminded him of himself. Small compeletly oblivious to the danger that surrounded him.
Just like he had once been, He had once been like him, happy if his father showed him an ounce of interest. Happy if his new wife of the moment showed him interest. Happy for any attention he received.
He shook his head and went back into the yard. How would he hurt a man like Rajeev, he would need to take away what he wanted the most in the world. Swetlana.
He watched her, she was maid with a constant sour face. He did not understand what Rajeev saw in her, his grandfather had claimed purity was the most attractive trait of a woman. But this woman was not pure, she looked vile. And gave him a bad vibe.
His grandfather was half asleep when he went to him.
"Grandfather, Rajeev is a bad person, why would you hire him if he was a bad person?

Mehek was sitting on the counter of the kitchen, Shaurya walked past her and went to the fridge and pulled out some orange juice.
She was wearing, a tiny blue dress with white bow belt that went around her waist. Her long black hair was left loose and fell over her face provocatively. She was annoying Karan his cook.
"Miss please don't eat anything He said trying to stop her, Mehek pulled a carat stick and put it in her mouth before he could take it away. As if she were a 5-year-old all over again, her little action, caused the rest of Karan's ingredients to fall down.
"I am sorry She said bending down to help him pick everything up, from the fridge Shaurya could see under her dress and got a flash of her cotton white panties. He dropped the juice cart down and cursed and banged the fridge door shut. Shaurya cursed, and Karan looked at him surprised.
"You are a hazard to society Shaurya told her casually bending next to her and pulling her dress down. She noticed his touch and reached out and for the back and realised what had happened.
"Leave Karan alone. Dinner will be ready in an hour Karan weakened and went to the drawer and handed her a bag of chips.
Mehek took them along with the carrot and ignored Shaurya all together. He followed her out of the kitchen. She walked down the corridor and then went upstairs.
He sighed, his father was pacing in the hallway.
"Are you trying to lose weight father? He asked him, somewhat amused by his discomfort.
"Shaurya, there is something I need to talk to you about!
"You probably need more money, again right? He asked him circling him.
"No that is not it, it is Mehek. He said handing him a letter. He stared at it, it was an acceptance letter for some dance school in New York. Shaurya felt a smile fall onto his lips.
"So your princess is going to fly off into the united states and leave you here alone to rot with me He said. His father paled, and worry set over his brow.
"Mehek would never leave me I would just have to ask her once. She is different from everyone His father fabled.
"Father I would have left you for less, and so will your princess when she finds this He said, handing it back to him. Let him have the control. Let him make the decision his grandfather's voice filtered into his head.
"Or you could destroy it away and keep her forever at your side His father was selfish and weak. He tore the letter without a second thought. So much for fatherly love. He was a pathetic piece of trash.
"How on earth will your sweetheart forgive you father? He asked him, His father wiped his brow.
"You cannot tell her anything Shaurya. Mehek is happy here do not spoil anything Shaurya smiled inwardly. He never had to lift a finger in the world he lived in. People were such predictable things.
"Promise me you wont tell her anything He asked him, his dark hand grabbed onto his arm. Shaurya stared at it. A memory flashed in his head, of the time his father had grabbed his arm on the stairs and hit him. He pulled his hand away, and his ears rang. His father called out his name, he walked in a daze into his study and closed the door. He could not breath. He fell onto the floor. He could not feel anything.

Shaurya woke up in his bedroom. He could not move anything but he got the distinct smell of cherry blossoms. His usually completely dark room, was lit with sunlight, as the drapes were drawn backwards.
"Miss, you don't understand Shaurya sir doesn't like the drapes open
"He needs the fresh air
"Miss when he wakes up he will be angry...
"Oh who cares, if he is angry! You can tell him I did it, he won't do anything She said, The sun shine surrounded her like a halo and she smiled as she gazed outside.
He closed his eyes, as he scent drifted towards him. She had always smelled so sweet.
So enticing.

Shaurya watched Ajay as he held some girl in his lap. They were all over each other. He sighed in disgust.
Ajay tended to stay away from him. So did the rest of the school population he preferred it this way. He never trusted anyone anyway.
He walked down the corridor with earphones on.
He bumped into a girl. She was tall. Her name was Nicole or something. She was one of those popular girls who every boy fantasised about. She wore too much perfume and her make up screamed that she was an easy wh**e.
She giggled and looked into his eyes. Thinking she was being attractive. He tried to step out of her sights but she grabbed his arm.
"Hi Shaurya She said, he could read her lips but pretended he could not hear, she was annoying enough to reach out and pull one of his earphones out of his ear.
"Hello She said again.
He stared at her blankly.
"My name is Niki, I was wondering if we would be friends. I am having a party on Saturday and I was wondering if you would come? She asked him, handing him a flier.
"I don't drink cheap alcohol or associate with wh**es. So I don't think I will be going to your party He said, blankly and her mouth dropped open in shock.
"What the hell I try to be nice to you. You freak and you don't even have manners She said, throwing a flier in his face. Well the kitty had claws.
He tried to walk away and she grabbed his arm.
"What makes you think that you are better than me, huh? Everyone knows how your father is squandering your families fortune away, it won't be long now before you come to me begging for an invite like this. And I will reject you Shaurya like you just did me. Mark my words. One day you will fall off that high stool you sit on Shaurya snorted.
"Really? You are going to be the reason of my destruction? When I am a poor nobody I will think of you first because we are so close right? To come to and, beg? He asked her amused. Niki/Nicole did not know that he had his grandfather's fortune. His father's dwindling fortune meant nothing to him. He was a Khurrana.
Her cheeks turned an ugly shade of red.
And she let out a little shriek and ran off.

Shaurya woke up, and turned his head slightly at the sound of soft breathing. Mehek was incredibly doll like as she lay in his bed on top of the blankets next to him.
Her cheeks were pale, and she looked so peaceful. He did not move. When his entire brain screamed at him to leave. He just stared at her lost. Almost.
She made a sound and her hand went around him possessively and she etched closer to him. He pushed himself upright and got out of his room away from her scent and her. The entire week his sheets smelled like her, yet strangely he never asked Awara to change his sheets. Instead they remained there for another week after.
