Chapter 4
He ate silently. Mehek went towards the door.
"Wait He said, she turned around, she did not know in that moment that light from the window caught her hair and provided a halo around her.
"I don't stay here, I am only for the day He told her, Mehek looked at him confused.
"I am just telling you encase you are planning to seduce me Mehek went out the door quickly. She closed it, but she did not miss his laughter that followed her.

Mehek began preparing lunch, since Aunty Karuna had announced that they would be at home.
She borrowed one of the other maid's phones and tried to follow some western dishes.

Mehek was done a little before, 12 she was unsure, she placed all the dishes on serving plates and went into the dining room. Karuna Aunty sat at the head of the table.
"Serve me, my son will be a little late Mehek nodded, and placed the dish in front of her, she raised her brows.
"This looks lovely dear She told her patting her hand.

Mehek was on her break, she ate with the rest of the staff, when the door opened, and Shaurya came inside.
"Who cooked today? He asked. Mehek's stomach sunk, was there something wrong with the food she wondered.
"Mehek did Awara said, looking just as confused.
"Come here He said, Mehek followed him. The rest of the staff watched her go out the room. Mehek had taken off her shoes, forgot to put them back on, she walked bare foot for about half a meter before realising what she had done. She turned to go back and get them, but Shuarya had noticed.
"Your feet look butchered He said bending down and reaching out to touch it, Mehek took a step back and looked at him with wide eyes.
He smirked and held his hands up.
"I won't touch He said, Mehek followed him silently, until they were by the kitchen.
"Make this He said handing her a recipe from his phone. Mehek looked at it and frowned it was complex. Incredibly so.
"I designed this, it took me six months to perfect. Do you think you can make it? He asked her, Mehek looked at the recipe and then at him. She wished she could say I am your biggest fan. I know how technical you are about food and that you have, to follow the recipe to the T. But Mehek just kept quiet and nodded.
"Let's see Mehek read the recipe, and then noticed he was standing there at the counter her hands shook slightly as she went about gathering the ingredients. She had never in her wildest dreams imagined being so close to him.

Mehek was almost done, when she looked up, she saw Shaurya was still watching her. More than 2 hours had gone by and he had not moved an inch, he just silently watched her.
"I am done She said holding it out on a plate, it resembled the dish in the picture almost 100 percent. Yet on his face, she could not tell if he was impressed or not, just like on TV he always hid how he felt about dishes to keep the suspense up.
He took a fork and smelled it first, then put it in his mouth.
Mehek felt shocked suddenly as his expression, changed. He came around the corner and picked her. Mehek held his shoulders to steady herself. He twirled her smiling.
"You are the one I have been looking for He said, the door opened and Aunty Karuna came inside. Mehek tried to pull away but Shaurya held her tight.
"Shaurya I told you not to play with the staff She said disapprovingly.
He let go of Mehek, and went to his mother and hugged her he kissed both her cheeks excitedly.
"I found her?
"Who?
"The one I was looking for He said grabbing Mehek's hand pulling her to his side, Mehek felt like this was an out of body experience what was happening.
"What? Karuna said looking at him confused.
"My new chef He said.
"You want Mehek to be your new chef? Karuna looked a little worried. He kissed Mehek's hands. Mehek pulled her hands away and took a step away from him. He was so touchy.
"Yes, raw talent. Whatever I work on she will perfect, with these hands He said.
"Mehek you should really think about it before working for him...
"Mom, don't be a drag you know I am a good boss He said, Mehek saw his mother and him share silent words with each other, and Karuna remained quiet.
"Would you work for me Mehek?
Mehek looked back at their hopeful expressions, they had helped her so much it was so hard to choose. Shaurya was her idol, working with him would be a dream but she could not ignore what Aunty Karuna had done for her.
"I already told Aunty Karuna I would work for her...
"I will pay you double, I will pay you however much you want He said, Mehek looked at Aunty Karuna who just looked at Shaurya disapprovingly.
"I don't know Mehek said, he took her hands on got down on his knees dramatically, Mehek had dreamt this scene so many times, that her cheeks probably resembled tomatoes.
"Mehek, come work for me and I will promise that you will always be paid double you would anywhere else, White chillies will make you a star He said trying to kiss her hands again, Mehek pulled them away from him and ran out of the kitchen. Her heart thundered against her chest and she ran upstairs.
She palmed the simple gold chain around her neck it was her mothers, fairy tales were real mom. I have met her prince, she thought to herself.

Mehek heard knock on her door, she blushed when she heard his voice.
"Come out Mehek, tell me will you be my head chef or not? He said, in a playful voice.
"Ok Mehek said, simply.
"Come then we need to go He said.
"Where?
"To get you a house
"What?
"My head chef cannot be staying in the servant's quarters of my mother's house.
"Mehek open the door He repeated when, she did not answer, Mehek opened the door and he held out some shoes.
"Put these on, I saw the others were hurting you They were a pair of ballet flats.
"Thank you Mehek felt her eyes prick at the gesture. He was so kind. She smiled at him, and quickly wiped her eyes before he could see the tears.
"Come on He said taking her hand in his again. Mehek tried to pull away but he held her firmly.
"Excuse me, I am just so happy to have found you I am little scared of letting you go He said, Mehek followed him quietly to his car, she could not help but notice, Karuna Aunty, looking at them disapprovingly.
He opened the door for her, Mehek went into his car.
"You know you have very beautiful eyes He said to her, Mehek looked out the window embarrassed by the compliment.
He tried to hold her hand while, he drove. But Mehek sat on her hands so they were not available to him. He laughed.
"You are cute too he said. He stopped near tall building. It was next to his other, house Mehek remembered it, she looked at him confused.
"They have a flat available for you He said taking her hand, Mehek allowed him to take her inside down a hall. A man waited for them at the door.
"Mr Khanna, we have the paper work ready
"Get me a pen Abros, we are going to take it Shaurya said, they opened the door and motioned for Mehek to go inside first. Mehek walked around the place, it was beautiful.
Like something out of a magazine.
Mehek, noticed there was a balcony, she always wanted a balcony. She went outside and smiled as she looked outside. Mehek rested her palms against the rail and enjoyed the view.
Shaurya stepped behind her placing his palms on either side of her own caging her from behind.
"Beautiful isn't it He said softly, Mehek looked down and tried not to panic at his sudden nearness.
"Yes She said finally. Mehek was happy that they were not directly touching. She would have fainted but she could feel the heat of his body, he was almost a centre meter apart from her.
"You know what the best part is? He asked her, Mehek shook her head.
"I can see you, see there He said pointing to his loft.
"Oh Mehek said awkwardly.
He laughed and let go of her.
"I will have the driver, bring your things here
"Oh Mehek was suddenly embarrassed he would soon learn how poor she was. That she had nothing.
"Thank you Shaurya sir Mehek said, to him. He took her hand and Mehek pulled it away and hid it behind her, if he kissed it one more time she was likely to faint.
"You are welcome sweet Mehek
"Your employment contract will be here soon He said, Mehek tried to smile, as he handed her the keys to her house.
"These are yours now he told her.
There was a knock at the door.
"I thought these things took days Mehek had always seen on tv, that it took days for contracts to be negotiated etc.
"Well I know what I wanted, and I pay my team a lot
Mehek forced a smile at him but, she was not sure why his continuous way of bringing up money showed her that he valued it highly in his life. Yet in ISK he valued his love for food so much more. Mehek shook her head, what was she thinking about. He was so kind to her.

Clauses
1. Employee will work for employer for a period of 7 years. If Employee wishes to leave he will have to pay Employer $ 300 000 000. {I am not from India so I will use some dollars}
2. Employee will have to wear, uniform provided by employer always.
3. Employee cannot take sick, emergency or other leave without notifying employer.
4. For work period, Employee cannot marry, or change relationship status. As this could lead to the breaking of employment.
5. Employee will not demand more money of employer.
6. Employer will always have rights over dishes created by employee.
Mehek read them slowly. Shaurya was busy talking about security to the man who had showed them the flat.
"The more expensive package, comes with cctv...
"Install the best, I want Mehek to be safe, if anything happens to her I will destroy you Mehek looked up, that was not something she ever thought she would ever hear him say. She looked at him astonished and he smiled at her, yet it looked almost forced.
"I was just joking, sweetheart, you just read that contract and sign, I cannot wait any longer...
Mehek glossed through them, the contract was so thick.
She had nothing, he could possibly take from her, so she picked up the pen and signed on the dotted line.
"Why did you not read the entire thing? He asked her, Mehek shrugged.
"I trust you She said simply. He turned around and went to the door.
"I will just speak to Abros alone, I won't be a minute even, that flat was fully furnished, with soft brown tones. She sat down in the lounge and sighed. She half wondered what Shaurya was telling him outside.
A little voice in her head told her that she should be careful but she shook the thought away.
