Somehow I feel the show lacks intensity. May be because of the jet speed. Scenes are rushed so much that they don't leave any impact. Acting looks superficial. In most of the romantic scenes intensity is missing. SJ (Mehak ) looks as if she is sick and the looks KV ( Shaurya) gives look fake.
He was better when he was faking it. I get a feeling that these two are not comfortable together anymore. KV is much better portraying khadoos and emotional Shaurya.

good point, I noticed that too.

For the most part, KV seems like he's not into it.

I mean, he's a wonderful actor, just when It comes to romantic scenes, he starts lacking, and it becomes so obvious.

You can see the acting, if that makes sense
There's so many actors who portray romantic scenes in a way where you literally get carried away with it.

That hasn't happened yet, or for me anyways.

I can't agree on this ...They have a very good comfort level and no other couple can bring out the romantic Scenes like MehRya...Most of the viewers are attracted by their chemistry...
Acting flaws we see because of the jet speed... Other wise we have seen powerful performance by them..

And regarding the Agra scene ...They were shooting there for 1 day only I guess must haven't got time for more retakes..

But iam happy with the final out put what they gave and waiting for tonight's episode

Actually they should not make Shaurya all lovey-dovey when he romances. It becomes too much to digest all of a sudden. Its like he said "too much of sweet makes you diabetic" 😆
Mehak has been always portrayed as sweet and simple, and Shaurya as complicated and intense. If this carries over into their romance as well, the scenes would be both more fun and more believable.

For eg, if Mehak tries to do cliche things, he can call her out on her idea of romance. Or they can talk to each other about things. Or they can play cards or boards games and he can try to cheat, and she finds out, but he is trying to make her win rather than win himself. Or he's trying to read something on the computer and she's not letting him do it. Or she's trying to eat something and he's not letting her eat by constantly holding her hand and feeding himself. Or she wants him to buy her flowers but he refuses and then gets them sheepishly when she insists. Or she can trace the lines in the palm of his hand while he's shaking his head at her. Simplest of all, but one that appeals so much to me - they can go for a walk together, talking, holding hands, smiling just from the sheer joy of having found each other.

There is so much that happens when you are both in love at the same time and the feeling is so new. It need not be all sexual or all in stated in words. They need to find ways to capture the joy and radiance of those first few heady days.

I too felt Karan was not giving his best y'day. I felt he was smirking instead of smiling during the proposal scene. It's true they are quite comfortable with each other , yet something was missing , chemistry was not up to the mark. I wish we got something better as it would have been a breath of fresh air for all of us after all the hate and suffering.

In fact your post gave me an idea for a scene.

In the gift shop, Mehak should have asked him to buy her a small replica of the Taj, that she'll treasure as a memento of this day. And he could have gone on a rant about how these replicas are tacky and only 'tourists' buy them, and its a way to make money and so on. And Mehak could have replied "what about all the beautiful things you said outside the Taj, about how it best represents our love?" and he can respond that "that was part of the proposal, to impress you. I'm glad it worked" and so on, and he can keep teasing her, and then when they leave the shop he gives her a small box, and of course we all know what is in it 😊

Something like that Karan and Samiksha could have done well. Would have been cute and romantic and I wouldn't have had to see grown ups running around trying to catch each other in the name of romance, and would not have made everybody suspect whether he is really in love or faking 😆

I don't know yaar, I have mixed feelings. I feel like they definitely improved a lot better then before, but yet again, they are new comers. I've always felt that Karan's acting could always improve because in emotional scenes it's a bit too much. For other general stuff, he's natural. That's why when Shaurya played Mehak in the beginning it was hard to accept. Now I'm just like what do I believe! My eyes or gut! Haha. And Samiksha in scenes of Mehak crying or paining, whatever sad feeling was a bit much for me too.
Just my opinion! Hope I didn't upset anyone and didn't mean to downgrade anyone.

I second to that my friend!! I would have like to see them naturally without the whole drama of being in love, if that made any senses? 😆

@bold: Exactly what I was thinking of!!

You ought to be writing the show. You got great ideas!!

Also, I realised that I made two posts here without actually saying what I wanted to say 😆 So here goes:
Yes, both of these actors are a bit raw. But a lot of what we think of as good acting is actually good writing and good direction. Give the best actors in the world a bad situation and at best they can salvage it wherein you watch it for them. At worst, they are bad too. Give average actors wonderful situations and good lines (whether subtle or over the top depends on the tone of the show and the graph of the character) and see how they deliver.

Acting, writing and directing are all subjective, of course. So our idea of what is good acting or good writing will differ, and there will be no one way to do it. But I do think that constantly giving these two background songs and making them run around in the name of love is not doing them or the show any favours. Remember the winter episodes when he stayed at Sharma house? Its that sort of magic that needs to be recreated.
