Dialogues v/s Background Songs

So I've been watching the old episodes when Shaurya had come to stay at Sharma house and was winning over the entire family. These episodes are adorable, and side by side I'm also reading old posts on the forum.
One of the things I noticed is this: those episodes also have songs (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Agar Tum Saath Ho and so on) but even then there were usually some lines, some dialogues between Mehak and Shaurya: some lines were meaningful, some were flirtatious, some were funny! All stood out and people would immediately come to the forum and make posts about them. Here are a few examples:
"Tum se toh main roz milunga" (recently revived thread!) "Tum pehle se aur bhi sexy ho gayi ho" "Ek simple si love story chahiye thi" "5 dinon mein yeh zukaam bhi theek ho jaayega" and so on.

Nowadays the songs are still there, but the deadly lines have lessened. And I would like more of such dialogues: dialogues that reveal how these two are thinking and feeling now, dialogues that reference the past, dialogues that see them trying to work out the problems and issues between them, things that are funny.

I really hope we get to see as many interesting conversations across the next few days as we see romantic scenes with songs playing in the background.

What do you all think?

Bang on,
@bold- there are more deadly activities going around these days, almost everyone is turning into different shades of grey these days 😆
Songs don't always convey the exact emotions, they kind of express the general interpretation of the situation/scene , personally, with dialogues I would pay attention to what the characters are saying but sometimes during endless songs my mind starts to wander off,we get daily dose of minimum one song everyday 🤣
IMO, it would have been beautiful if we had a special song for MehRya 😳

I agree. I don't even mind a song or two if we also get good dialogue.

Lol I realised all my examples were seductive and would lead us to the gutter. But meant that in general as well. Miss well-written dialogues on the show.
