Part 8 A :

Shaurya was in his own world thinking why Mehak didn't react the way he wanted him to when he was hurt. It made him restless. He knew there was something that he didn't understand.

Rajeev: Shaurya, Mr. Shah wants us to look after their catering arrangements for their awards event. I guess it's a great idea right?

Mr. Shah: Mr. Khanna you have a name in the market and we too would want to work with people who respect their work. I think it will be beneficial for both the parties. What do you think?

Shaurya and Rajeev were sitting in Shaurya's cabin to discuss the details with Mr. Shah. Ever since Shaurya entered his cabin for the meeting, he hadn't spoken a word. He just greeted Mr. Shah and started thinking about his moment with Mehak. Rajeev realized that Shaurya wasn't paying attention to the meeting. He tried a couple of times to make Shaurya realize but he was lost in his own dream world.

Mr. Shah: I guess Mr. Khanna isn't interested in this deal. In that case, I don't see the point in waiting here and wasting my time. I will take your leave now Mr. Rajeev. Bye.

Rajeev: Mr. Shah please wait a moment. Shaurya Shaurya...Rajeev shouted a little louder.

Shaurya: Ahh...yes Rajeev..so where were we?

Rajeev and Mr. Shah looked at him in disbelief.

Mr. Shah: We don't know about you Mr. Khanna but Rajeev and I were here waiting for you to return to our planet. But I guess I cannot wait any more...U can continue with what you were doing. Happy dreaming Mr. Khanna. Bye.

Rajeev: Mr. Shah please listen to me...

Rajeev went behind Mr. Shah to talk to him but he too was a businessman and for him time was of utmost importance. Rajeev angrily came in Shaurya's cabin.

Rajeev shouted: What is your problem Shaurya? What was all that?

Shaurya: Don't use that tone with me Rajeev.

Rajeev angrily: I will Shaurya and I have full right to do so coz I am really disappointed with your behavior today.

Shaurya: Don't worry our hotel business is not dependent on this deal. We will get other deals which would be better than this.

Rajeev: Yes, we will but if you keep on showing this attitude of yours, I am sure aur koi business karna bhi chahega toh nahi karega...I didn't expect this from you...Show some seriousness.

Shaurya was already pissed off with what had transpired with Mehak in the conference room and now with Rajeev shouting at him, his anger was at its peak.

Shaurya angrily: You are telling me about seriousness...If I wasn't serious about anything, I wouldn't have tasted so much success in my hotel business.. So you better not say anything on that.

Rajeev: I will have to Shaurya...Off late, I have noticed that you are in your own world..Jin cheezo pe dhyaan dena chahiye us par dhyaan nahi dete...

Shaurya: What do you mean?

Rajeev: Wasn't it our rule that you would never attend the feedback session of our chefs? Then why did you today? If you had so much time to attend that session, you could have invested few minutes in preparing for our meeting with Mr. Shah.

Shaurya: Who are you to question me Rajeev? This is my hotel...Wht is the big deal if I attended that session? Did I commit any crime?

Rajeev knew it was futile arguing with Shaurya. He decided to leave from there coz he knew matters would only get worse if he stayed there and listened to him.

Rajeev: Bye Shaurya.

Shaurya: What the hell? Rajeev I am not done yet...Listen to me...

Rajeev angrily left his cabin. Shaurya kept fuming in anger.

Shaurya: Its all because of you Ms. Sharma...Meri hi galti thi jo tumse ruk kar baat ki maine...Jab bhi meri life mein aati ho sirf problems hi problems laati ho!!!! I shouldn't have wasted my time on her. I need to talk to Rajeev. I shouldn't have shouted on him like that.

Shaurya met Riya and asked her about Rajeev.

Riya: Rajeev Sir left a couple of minutes back Sir. He said to cancel all his appointments for today.

Shaurya knew he had hurt him. Other than his Maa, he trusted Rajeev who was more like a brother than his business partner. He tried calling Rajeev a few times but the line was busy. Finally, Shaurya decided to give some time for the matter to cool down before it could escalate further.

He continued working on his laptop in his cabin. For the past 4 hours, Shaurya was continuously working in his cabin. After Rajeev left, he had to take care of all the pending work. He couldn't complain because he knew it was his fault. Had he paid attention to Mr. Shah and understood what Rajeev was trying to tell him, he wouldn't be sitting here doing so much of work.

Shaurya was tired. So he decided to go for a walk in his hotel plus he had to supervise in absence of Rajeev. Shaurya was passing by the kitchen area when he saw Mehak and Kunal working in the kitchen. He looked at Mehak or rather he couldn't take his eyes off her. A few hours back, he had regretted talking to her and now here he was staring at her.

Shaurya thinking: Leave Shaurya, you know what just happened a few hours back...u lost an important deal and not to forget your fight with Rajeev. I don't even remember if we had fought like this before. Just ignore her and continue with your work.

His mind was telling him to leave but his legs weren't ready to move. He was about to leave when he saw Kunal standing too close to Mehak while tasting the curry and Mehak instead of moving away was still standing there. He just couldn't move now.

Kunal: Hmm...Its good Mehak..You have magic in your hands. No wonder our customers are crazy about your innovative recipes.

Mehak: Thanks Kunal..do you think we should add something else or is this ok?

Kunal: Nope for me..its simply perfect!!! You are awesome Mehak.

Mehak smiled and continued stirring the curry.

Shaurya was witnessing all this from outside the kitchen. He fisted his hand in anger.

Kunal: Mehak I guess tht's enough. I will pour it in the bowl.

Mehak: Ok

Mehak started cutting coriander and cilantro for garnishing the curry. While cutting the coriander leaves, her hand bumped into Kunal's shoulder and the hot curry fell on his hand.

Kunal: Ahhh...Kunal cried in pain.

Mehak: I am so sorry Kunal...sorry I didn't see...

Kunal: Its ok Mehak...Ahh...its burning..its damn hot...

Mehak panicked seeing Kunal's hand. The curry was indeed very hot and his hand had started becoming very red. She held his hand and went near the sink. She then turned on the tap of cold water and thrust his hand under the flow.

Mehak: Are you feeling better? I m genuinely sorry Kunal..It wasn't intentional. I didn't see you standing so close to me and...

Kunal: Hey Mehak, chill. Its fine.. Maine tumse kuch kaha kya? So what are you so worried about?

Mehak was a strong girl but at times she would get very sensitive. She was a little upset and had tears in her eyes.

Kunal: Oh Mehak please no crying now...Seriously Pushpa I hate tears...

Mehak smiled at hearing that. Kunal surely knew how to lighten the mood maybe that's why he was so popular with the ladies at the hotel.

Kunal was mesmerized with her smile. Everyone at the hotel knew that he liked her more than a friend but he also knew that she was engaged to Ajay and he respected that.

Kunal: You know what Mehak your fiance is very lucky. I mean seriously you are so sweet and caring that anybody could fall in love with you. I would always have one regret in my life.

Mehak: What?

Kunal: That I didn't meet you before Ajay. If I had met you before, toh ab tak toh hamari shaadi bhi ho jaati...But koi baat nahi..At least I got a friend like you...He winked at her and smiled.

Mehak smiled: Yes..Thanks

Kunal: I should get an ointment applied to this...It isn't burning anymore but has swollen up a bit.

Mehak: Wait I ll come with you.

Kunal: No princess not needed. I will manage. Sorry you will have to make the curry again...

Mehak: Its alright. It wasn't your fault.

Kunal: And it wasn't yours either.

All this was witnessed by Shaurya. It irritated him to see Kunal and Mehak being so close to each other.

Shaurya to himself: Bewakoof ladki...

P.S. Hey guys please make new posts and keep on hitting the chaskameter coz this week too we didnt have any buzz articles. I dont wanna see our favourite show ZKM at no 7...I wanna see it in the top 5...😳
