Mahek is fat???? Umm if thats what being fat looks like, please can I look like that. I don't really understand this aspect of the show. The actress they have casted for the show is NOT fat. In fact she has a very nice normal healthy body that I would kill for. So I don't understand why they keep putting her down for something that is not true. This show is mostly aimed at the youth in a way and this is an incredibly horrible message they are sending to all the girls and women out there.

On top of that they are making the male lead opposite are say the same thing is even worse. Your man is suppose to love you for who you are and that includes her body. Of course if a person is obese and on the verge of death, then you tell them to lose weight to be healthy and live life. But what they are showing is beyond ridiculous. And I really really like this couple. They are so fresh and new. And I'm tuning in to this show now since they have ruined JDSD. So I just hope they don't show Shaurya keep insulting her for no reason about her weight again. It is such a turn off and hard to redeem by.

These soaps give me the impression that people from India are obsessed with fair skin and thin bodies...a very bad impression indeed

If this is a false impression, then the soap writers are very irresponsible

Well said. That's what I get that it's important to be fair skinned and skinny. That's such a wrong message to send to the youths.

Hi...Namita...! Rightly...said...! Even if the fair skinned and slim fit girl is brainless and stupid...they'll readily accept her as their daughter-in-law...and, not the one who has a darker skin...and well educated...! They may accept the latter...only if she is a working girl...who'll be a money tree for her in-laws rather than a member of the family...!

Very sad to say...that nowadays, almost all the Indian soaps are sending wrong messages by showing illogical, retrogressive and immoral tracks in the name of entertainment..! And the last joining the gang...is our own "Mehek"...!

Although...we're aware what the cvs are showing is bad...we're still watching it...because, that's how the world revolve...every-time, we can't get everything to our likings and satisfactions...! We have to eat whatever are coming in our plates...! For me personally...I'm eating it, only and only because "MehRya" dish is too tempting and seductive to resist...! 😉

But...wondering, if Mehek was from a higher and fashionable society...would a man like Shaurya, still have the same problem and reaction...in regards to her look and status...?

Well...I don't think so...! The man who told middle-class Mehek to stay 100 miles away from his reputed restaurant or he'll call the police...treating her like dirt...! The same man, would have rolled out the red carpet to welcome her in his restaurant...if Mehek would have been from a wealthy/affluent family...! Her bank balance would have covered all those faults that Shaurya is reproaching her of...!😕

I agree she is healthy and curvy, but fat or not Mehak is so pretty and cute.. if a girl look like her in real I m sure she will gonna have so many admirers...
if we talk about wrong messages then almost every TV serial does that.. we can't help it, bride swapping to sister's rivalry over one guy and so on, Atleast here they are not presenting ladies with heavy make up, loud reactions and over dramatic back round music. This serial is not perfect but much better than other shows on TV.

you guys have said it all.. I agree with each of u.

Mehek isn't fat but healthy and cute, not skinny and definitely not fat. But ye CVs... like all other shows they have to portray heroine as someone who's taunted by everyone. At least shaurya shouldn't have taunted about her looks or weight... middle class thing also not acceptable... :/
