Zindagi did not censor the kissing scenes while airing Dil Dhadakne Do today. Let's hope they don't censor Kerim-FG kisses either. *fingers crossed*

@DefLeppard: Zindagi will air English Vinglish next Sunday. Broad hint to Engin?

@Aydafawad: Welcome to the forum! I went through all your posts today, but found time to reply only now. Thank you for sharing your world of information about Turkey. I would like to learn these Turkish words too; let's hope I can!
Btw, is your English so good because you have lived in Germany?

I also have a question about Turkish tea--why does it look reddish instead of amber? Does it have some hibiscus or another flavour?

@aydafawad
Hello and welcome to the tread it's great to hear so much about Engin and Beren from you.
Hope you could visit Engin DT thread and fawad thread too you will make a great addition there. 😊
We would really like to know about his new project There we try to post Engin related things so fans can access in one place. Do drop by some day.
I am a huge Engin and Fawad fan from Pakistan and they both have really huge number of loyal fans here. It's so nice to hear from someone with similar likes! Like you said I also agree that once an Engin fan it's a commitment for good! Nothing else compares!

To everyone here you all are really witty and expressive with words reading your views is one of the best times of the day these days I'm always cracking up or grinning. Thankyou so much for taking out time and coming here you guys are amazing!! God bless! 🤗

Great discussion I love reading ur PoV and like the way u guys diss Mustafa and mukades. The gifs are hilarious by the way 😆

Also off topic but I guess the reason and it's just my theory don't wish to impose on anyone feel free to disagree , that why Engin, Fawad and SRK are compared especially thier eyes is because all three have clear brown eyes which reflect light, Engin with russet color and fawad Srk with a pigment that is little caramel and little russet.

In fact if you google this eye color it makes the face look so trustworthy and honest looking and it is deep brown yet clear so reflects light that it gives this unique touch even. Plus I think these guys have some extra muscles around the eyes that rest of the population hasn't figured how to activate and use yet Lool.

Sooo many expression. And on point!
And sorry for keeping u guys distracted from main topic.
Please continue.

Selamun aleykum dostlar (dostlar means "friends" in turkish) :)

@blyton
Thank you very much. It's a pleasure for me to share my knowledge about Turkey/turkish culture etc. with you :)
You should definitely do that. All you guys should learn turkish, while I will try to learn hindi and urdu :D
We will just exchange our knowledge with each other :D

Well, I am studying English. I guess that's the main reason :D
But I have always been interested in other languages. I just love learning other languages/cultures etc. I think it's great, when you learn new languages. I am broaden my own horizon through learning new cultures/traditions/languages etc.

German people also have difficulties speaking English. I've started learning English at the age of 11. It was just a subject in school, which we only had three times in a week. 45 minutes long is a regular school hour in German schools. That means that I had 2.15 hours English lesson per week. English was just treated as any other subject. People in Germany do not speak English in their everyday life. It's just taught in schools.

Germany is similar to Turkey regarding to the importance of the English in the society. It's definitely not like India, where English is considered as offical language :)

So I would not say it's because I am living in Germany because I know many people in Germany, who are not able to speak proper English...

Regarding your question to turkish tea.. It's just regular black tea. There are no flavours like Hibiscus or anything else. I guess it's looking reddish because it's boiled around 20 minutes or even longer in the teapot "caydanlik".

It also could have something to do with the amount of tea, which is boiled in the teapot. Because the more tea you boil, the darker it gets in terms of colour as well as taste. It's also important how you prepare your tea. Some people prefer their tea very dark. That means that you use more of the tea, than the water. I don't know if you have seen it but we put in the "tea water" first, and than put hot water in order to regulate the concentration of our tea. If you use only a little of the "tea water" and add many hot water then your "cay" will be very bright. It gets exatly the opposite, when you use much tea water and less hot water. Then your tea becomes very dark.

Such dark tea is decribed as "Tavsan kani" (means "rabbit blood") in turkish. Don't be afraid by the meaning. It has nothing to do with the blood of rabbits of course :D But it's just a way of saying it :D

Really off topic, apologising in advance...

I know it's directed towards Ayda but I was wondering if the Quran is written in Urdu in India.
In Pak The Quran we read is in Arabic script. You read the Arabic script and it's not Urdu.

Also in Pak You read it with an English or Urdu translation along with it to understand the text.
Urdu speakers can read Arabic script as its alphabets look similar to Arabic letters but pronunciation would be different as Arabic has extra stuff going on around the alphabets which give it its distinct sound.

At a very young age we are taught how to read Arabic script as the pronunciation of alphabets is different due to ZER, zabar and pesh etc from Urdu. So if you only knew how to read Urdu and not Arabic then your pronunciation would be different as you would ignore the ZER zabar pesh which lend accent to the letters and you would sound like a retard to an Arabic speaker instead also while changing meaning of the entire text.

The new electronic Quran has many options for languages so some prefer to read translations in language they feel comfortable in as intent is to understand and apply meaning of the text. Reading in Arabic alone is pointless for us as we don't speak the language so we don't understand the text otherwise.

In Pak Arabic is taught as a 3rd language as an optional course in languages only that too from class 5 or 7 in some private schools, and you can choose any language from a choice of Arabic or French where I'm from in private schools while Urdu and English are compulsory taught from pre nursery. Sometimes it's taught as a 1st semester course in universities. That's all.

OMG!!
Is this some divine intervention??
Btw Engin not so conversant with English is a big turn ON factor for me. Its that under dog feeling. And going by @Ayda...Engin is not a topper in that listings of popular actors (names not registered yet)...yet he has a solid fan base.
I am an under dog in life. Feel totally connected.

Kiss scene edit will be like this...imo
Those long stares...leading to involuntary closing into faces.
Cut
Release of faces...to the next frame...of activity ...whatever.
*sing roop tera mastana...pyaar mera deewana*galati na hojayeee*
Btw Galati of the channel was the reference...mind it. Lol

Without much drag on the translation or transliteration topic...my 2 cents.
I am a first time viewer of this drama. Thanks to Zindagi for broadcasting this to us.
Channel's adaptation woes are like...hate me...but cant ignore me situation. And ofcourse we have cool ppl here...who can help us digest all the dialogues.*thumbs up*
For me discovering Engin, Beren & others is like Capt.Cook discovering Oz...HMS Endeavour. Lol
