Yes, translation was bad in these two points which shows Kerim's charecter in diffrent light...Kerim has indeed shown at every turn (since the rape) wht a gentleman he is, in every sense of the word, he is patient, kind & loving...he naver use taunting language with Fatma...itz always Fatma who use harsh words coz she find treating him well is betroying herself...but Kerim never taunt her...that "Sukoon mil gaya tumhe" was my inner voice, but i was just shoked at that moment when i realize translater used this 😲Having seen the original, I am finding translation of some critical scenes to be 'way off mark', changing their essence completely in some cases.
For example, when Kerim comes face to face with Fatma outside the police station, he DOESNT say - "Yahi chahti thi na tum? Sukoon mil gaya tumhe? etc" in the original. Instead he SAYS - "It's over now. I told them everything. I will receive my punishment along with the others. Do you believe me now?" (by which he meant, do u believe in my love now) which should have been translated as - "Ab Mera Yakeen Huha Tumhe?" (implying, ... 'Ab Mere Pyaar Ka Yakeen Hua Tumhe')Incorrectly translated lines like "Yahi Chahti Thi Na Tum. Sukoon Mil Gaya Tumhe" changed the entire meaning and essence of what he was supposed to have said to her. These wrongly made it look like he was resentful of or begrudging her for making him do this... that he was taunting her/being sarcastic. Which is NOT what that moment was supposed to convey as per the original. Even his phone convo with her before his surrender and next episode's precap clearly show he did it to make her believe how much he loved her. There was no question of him sarcastically saying 'this is what you wanted, right? Are you satisfied now' to her as was shown in our versionSimilarly, during his phone convo with her earlier he DOESNT say - 'I didn't want to marry you, they forced me to' as was shown lol. On the contrary, he says the following as per Turkish version -
"I didn't marry you because I had to. I married you because they forced you to marry. I married you to prevent more harm coming your way. I felt guilty, although I knew I didn't harm you. But I'm as guilty as those lowlifes, if not more."Here is the word to word complete translation of these two scenes from the Turkish version-Kerim calling FG to say he is going to surrender police -Kerim - I didn't lie to you.
Fatma - EnoughKerim - Don't cut in and listen! Listen. I didn't marry you because I had to. I married you because they forced you to marry. I married you to prevent more harm coming your way. I felt guilty, although I knew I didn't harm you. But I'm as guilty as those lowlifes, if not more. I never denied it.
Fatma - I don't want to hear this all over again.
Kerim - Don't hang up! Don't do that! Hello!
Fatma - Yes?
Kerim - I condemned myself to a punishment that will never end. Your suffering before my eyes, is my punishment. I know.. I couldn't make life any easier for you. I couldn't gain your trust. But if you don't believe me...If you still think that I'm with those bas***ds and trying to fool you...then...then I will submit myself to the police.
Fatma - What?
Kerim - I'll tell the police everything. I will hand in everybody, myself and the others. So that they can punish them...and me.
Fatma - What are you saying?
Kerim - That's the only way I can prove my love to you, Fatmagl. I'm handing myself to the police.
Fatma - Abla...
Meriyam - What's going on girl?
Kerim - Even though I know I don't deserve it...Though I know you hate me... I love you.I love you for who you are. That's not a lie.
That's my only truth.
Fatma - Hello? Hello?
Scene where Kerim comes out of police station -Meriyam - Kerim...Kerim, my son. What have you done?Kerim to Meriyam - Say no more, Abla. I had to do this.
Kerim to Fatmagul - It's over now.
I told them everything
I will receive my punishment along with the others.
Do you believe me now?Wish this kind of disconnect between original and dubbed version in so many critical scenes hadn't been there. It's hurting the original's essence and is not fair to the audiences or the show

Which is NOT what that moment was supposed to be about as per the original.Similarly, during his phone convo with her earlier he DOESNT say - 'I didn't want to marry you, they forced me to' as was shown lol. If we recall, this anyways wasn't in line with what he had said to Meriyam Abla earlierOn the contrary, as per the Turkish version, he says the following to her -
"I didn't marry you because I had to. I married you because they forced you to marry. I married you to prevent more harm coming your way. I felt guilty, although I knew I didn't harm you. But I'm as guilty as those lowlifes, if not more."As can be seen, translators made a shocking mess of it, completely turning what he said on its head. If the writers of this show were to see this, they wld have a heart attack lol at seeing how their sensitive writing is getting callously mistranslated . And it's not just limited to these scenes. This has happened with so many scenes across episode

Even I was thinking that Kerim is a spoilt sport to say those lines to FG and it seemed he did not want any punishment or was never guilty...That Sukoon line was just out of place. Glad to know the real lines. Often translations change the meaning of the sentence but they should concentrate on these dialogues a bit more to avoid errors. I'm still glad that I got to watch this show in Hindi on Zindagi and can forgive them for these errors :)
