Watched this show for the first time yesterday. Can someone give a brief synopsis of what happened so far? I like the pairing between Padmini and the judge(?) guy? The show reminded me of old DD shows.
Padmini runs away from her marriage [which was fixed with Raghav (called RU which is short of Raghav Uncle, the judge guy)] at the age of 19 and has returned back now after almost 21 years. She was a person who the kids dint even know existed and her room had been kept closed and nobody was allowed to open it, leading kids to mockingly refer it to as the haunted room. In short, her brother who loved her to the core has refused to acknowledge her existence due to her running away act. The bhabhi has been Padmini's best friend since her childhood and it is her efforts that she has now turned up to attend the youngest daughter's marriage i.e. Avantika/Vitki.
Padmini believes in living in the spur of moment and following her heart and having seen the world and lived alone striving through and driving through difficulties alone is shown to have different perspectives to things than the others, and hence is able to see through cracks in the life of kids , which is otherwise hidden through facade of happiness.
Coming to others
Jyoti,eldest daughter of house is married to ashutosh, MCP photographer and is pretty upset about her life in general ( which in last episode came out beautifully , in the form of why are we fed false fairytales of happily ever after and several other instances)
Ishan, the son of the house and his wife Sneha, are also shown happily married , but currently with some underlying tension, wanting to take up a decision which they feel could hurt the parents and hence Ishan is not ready to discuss it out.
Avantika, the youngest of lot, is a happy go lucky, a mirror to Padmini, is getting married to Rohit, who is though not handsome charming is a guy with qualities one always wishes for, marriage as equal partners and respects required space and no chauvinism at all. Vitki was having second thoughts about the marriage, which was sorted out by her Minni Bi(Padmini) and RU (Raghav Uncle)(who has promised her that if at any time she thinks she is stuck and wishes to get out of marriage, he would be her support forever).
The best equation is between RU and Minni, the full time nok jhok and the familiarity they have considering at one point they also were best friends. RU seems to have feelings for padmini, which she doesnt seem to harbour in return.
And yea, the brother sister have patched up beautifully well now.
And what I personally love the best is all the situations and beautiful dialogues loaded with reality are done with a quota of humor and real emotions. No drama, no huge sets,no OTT and best no villians except mindset and life.
Got longer, but well I am so impressed by this one that dint wana miss out on anything😉😊. If I did miss out, please other viewers pitch in too !!!😃
