'KAPOOR and SONS' shoot begins

The shooting of Shakun Batra's upcoming modern family drama film "KAPOOR and SONS" began on Sunday.
The film stars rumoured couple Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, along with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor.
"@shakunbatra 's #kapoorandsons kickstarts today!! All the best to the cast and crew!! @S1dharthM @_fawadakhan_ @aliaa08 @chintskap," Karan Johar, who is producing the film under his banner Dharma Productions, posted on Twitter.
Batra's directorial debut "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu" was also produced by Karan, while Alia and Sidharth's debut film "Student Of The Year" was produced and directed by Karan too.
Sidharth expressed excitement over the new project and tweeted: "Day 1 of #kapoorandsons wish us luck people @shakunbatra @aliaa08 @iFawadKhan @chintskap @karanjohar."
Meanwhile, the multi-faceted Karan - actor, director, producer, screen writer, costume designer and TV personality - will next be seen as Kaizad Khambata in Anurag Kashyap's period crime drama film "Bombay Velvet".
The film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, is set to release on May 15.

Anil Kapoor apparently replaced the actor in 'Battle of Bittora' after acquiring the rights to the film now starring Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan

The industry grapevine has been buzzing with stories about how Saif Ali Khan was replaced in the cinematic adaptation of bestseller Battle of Bittora after Anil Kapoor's home production acquired the movie rights.

A source says, "When Anil contacted author Anuja Chauhan with the proposal to turn her book into a film, he was redirected to the production company which had bought the rights much earlier.

Their original choice was Saif and the actor, too, was quite keen to do the film. He had liked the script a lot."

However, after a round of negotiations with the company, Anil apparently paid a whopping amount to buy the film rights. "Once he took over, it was announced that his daughter Sonam will play the lead.

Later, he signed Fawad Khan instead of continuing with Saif who was already on board," adds the source. Anil and Saif were not available for comment.

A "dreamer", as she claims to be, sets her goals straight and tries to achieve all of them. Fashion campaigns and TV commercials have been her primary area of interest. Talking about her recent project, Kanwal revealed, "I just wrapped up the TV commercial shoot for a popular beverage, which is being anxiously awaited since it was shot by the renowned Indian director, Pradeep Sarkar [of Laaga Chunri Main Daagh and Parineeta fame]."

"I share the screen with everyone's favourite and the extremely talented, Fawad Khan. The ad will be aired within a couple of months. Hopefully, this becomes the stepping stone for me getting closer to my dreams," she added.

KARACHI - The Bollywood famed actor, Fawad Khan, demanded ten million rupees to star in a Pakistani movie, which stuns whole Lollywood Industry on Sunday.
