We have some scoop on the upcoming Amrita Pritam biopic which is likely to star Fawad Khan as Sonakshi Sinha's love interest...
After a long stint with masala Bollywood films, Sonakshi Sinha has now decided to explore the graver aspects of acting with the upcoming Amrita Pritam biopic. The actress, who stunned everyone with her acting chops in Lootera, has been signed on by the makers to play Amrita Pritam, the celebrated poetess who shared a complicated relationship with lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi.
Sonakshi will be getting under the skin of the love-struck poetess who was deeply in love with the much older lyricist before she decided to live with her partner Imroze. While only Sonakshi's name has been finalized for the title role, rumours are rife that Pakistani heart-throb Fawad Khan will play the role of Sahir Ludhianvi. For the role of Imroze no name has been tossed around as of now.
According to an editor of a popular film magazine, the Amrita Pritam biopic will be titled Gustakhiyaan but we aren't certain if that name has been finalized yet. We are damn excited to see Jr Shotgun romance Fawad not just because their chemistry will be fresh but also because the love-story they will be retelling is immensely beautiful!
