Honestly, many of us weren't even having the slightest idea that Pak shows can be so good. And even more Honestly, for me Pakistani entertainment was limited to Coke Studio, n I thought they could make just good music. And yes, some good art cinema like Khuda Kay Liye (yes, it has Fawad), or Bol (Yes it as Mahira too) and Zinda Bhaag.
The credit goes to Zindagi for bringing the best shows to us. They consciously chose Zindagi Gulzar Hai to be their first show to be telecasted, knowing it had some of the best talent from Pak TV Industry. Not just Fawad and Sanam, but excellent character artists like Samina Peerzada, Mehreen, Shehryar and others.
If only Fawad would have been the reason, the first show would have been Humsafar (the show which gave Fawad his share of limelight) and Behadd telecast wouldn't have been delayed.
We love Fawad a lot but we love Zindagi even more for introducing him to most of us and of course, for their choice of shows which gives us the impression that we have of Pak TV industry now.

Rightly said Niharika . ZGH i started watching after 3rd episode perhaps , i did not know anything about Pak shows and perhaps honestly speaking have some preconceived notion about Pak . Yes have seen decades ago pak plays which were rage both sides . ZGH was a surprise packet and eye opener that we are same whether its language , traditions culture ,values . Yes no doubt ZGH just hooked me with brilliant acting which never felt as id are acting the character . So real to real world and then saw other shows also ,not much impressed with Noorpur ki rani which i heard was based on the novel Rebecca.
And should give credit where it goes . Fawd Khan is one of the major factor then to bring Zindgi channel to lime light specially in metro cities and the who were not in to idiot box with positive word of mouth .
Then watched other dramas also which are not dragged , ended within time frame with story intact .
But would like Zidagi to come out the best ones to hook people to the channel Whether its the old ones which people still remember .
Zgh is the show which catered to all groups .

Honestly it is only Fawad Khan's shows that are getting discussed in detail on this forum with the man himself which shows how much of an impact he has had on the people and the channel itself they have used him for their promotions. TFS the article.

Yes article is very well written but they have missed very good shows other wise and seems like focused on character from mere Humsafar & ZGH which are Fawad's show😆 Undoubtedly Fawad is ICON.other Points are very well put .I personally loved Maham from MQMD most to be that will stronged woman who can scarifies yet fight at a same time .Than there was Dhoop-Choon & Thankan's leading ladies are another one.

Fawad is like the brand ambassador for the channel (like Salman for Colors). He represents the influx of Pakistani culture to India, and aptly so since he's doing movies here. As he is a known and adored face, the channel used him wisely as a selling point.

But what is adding credence to the brand is the quality of television dramas that they're transmitting. The refreshing treatment, lack of melodrama and the finite nature of the series is sustaining the viewership. In a way, both Fawad and the channel's content are complementing each other to create the brand of Zindagi. That is what I feel:)

I liked the article but nt agree on some points, pak serials shows practicality that is the base for their success. Ppl can relate to the characters as they show wt actually happen in real life with these kinds of situation like example os SARA n ASMARA.👏 round of applause becoz truly they showed how things work in real life.

In todays world no man can be SOORAJ od DIYA BAATI🤢, but yes we can have many ZARRON who wants to do hardwork to enjoy life besides all the comfort they got from their parents n who are conservative with a woman roaming around with frds no one can help it as THAT IS THEIR NATURE , no person can change anyone else nature ,its only we can do to make ADJUSTMENTS thats is to on both sides.

Indian shows has make fun of MARRIAGE ,LOVE (Anurag marriage in Kasuti zindgi ki)🤢 If they showed even a pinch of sense ppl will like them for sure.

I think the article wanted to say that it's not only Fawad Khan that made his shows successful in India and there were many other things contributing to success of Fawad's shows like ZGH and Humsafar.

It's true Fawad Khan isn't the only reason that Pak shows work so well in India...there is only so much an actor can do to make a show work besides only two shows and one telefilm till now had Fawad Khan and these two shows are the only ones that went super hit for Fawad in Pakistan...rest of his shows did not do so well...i would say apart from Fawad we have actors who portrayed Faisal in Maat and Haider in Dhoop Chahoon or Noorie's husband in Noorpur ki Rani has very talented and famous actors...they were in more shows than Fawad Khan and have done very different role in each one of them 👏
I love what they said about female characters...they just hit the nail...our female characters need constant praising from other characters to show their bravery and some very unrealistic scenes where someone is kidnapped or whole whole house is in trouble...honestly such situations shows lack of police system and lack of corporation between house members than female character's bravery...i loved Kashaf and Khirad but even side female characters were very good...they did not need to plot and plan to take the lime light of main female characters becoz they made their own places for lime light and attention 👏

Yes indeed fawad is a star n no1 cn deny the fact.. I m big fawad khan fan bt just coz i m his fan i cnt just give whole credit to him for the success..Before zindagi launched in india i m adherent lover of Indian tellyshows bt after watching zgh, humsafar, mera naseeb, behaad i realized der is something which is missing in Indian shows n the thing which missing was the reality quotient.. While talking about zgh-its nt just dat ppl loved zaroon kashaf dey love all the other relations also.. Dey love the bond of sisters which sidra n kashaf shared.. Dey loved the mother daughter bond which kashaf n rafia shared dey loved the bond which zaroon n sara shared.. N above dat i loved if a character is doing something wrong in the end dey proved it dat it wrong n the result is also bad.. In the end sara regretted that the divorce decision was taken in hurry n it was a wrong decision...zaroon is a imperfectly perfect character i have ever seen n wat should i say about kashaf so real which i never felt about ny Indian female protagonist..
Same wid humsafar n mera naseeb.. Dey justified everything soo perfectly.. N sucha short duration telling a whole story widout ny lope hole is one of the reason y ppl loved Pakistani shows..
Kahi unkahi so beautifully showed dat the class difference..the topic which r shown in Pakistani shows r kind of common bt packaging n presentation is the thing dat creates a difference n datz wat made ppl in india love Pakistani drama..
