the way the Kashaf character matures as the story progresses is very disturbing. she seems still caught up with prejudices, and evern after zaroon being so understanding, she seems to distances herself. she should not have got married if her ego and prejudices overrule her personal life and livin😡g.
she is educated, and working, and she sees what kind of life and suffering people are facing. she is not the only person in the whole world who is agony. i did not like the way her character has been scripted.
😡
i watched because FK acted, had any ohthe actor enacted, i would not have seen the serial

Kashaf didnt really want to marry. She is kinda pressurized into it. The show is about her journey from complains to thankfulness.

agreed, but being educated and working, little but of poise and senstivity should have changed her. she later thanks her almighty but it is too late.. even after getting a husband who is very understanding, she seems to be caught up in her own train of thoughts.

While you look at Kashaf,s journey from her childhood to growing up years , she she became more bitter towards life . First watching his father deserting mother because of son . Watching struggling her mother to give them good education . Kashaf was more vulnerable and sensitive thats why she was effected more . She put a wall around herself where none can touch her . She was pessimistic with inferiority complex. Her trust in man factor was very weak . As she has seen Zaroon in uni. days she had that impression of him and was scared of letting him know her weaknesses. So Kashaf was a complex character and Zaroon with his patience and with Sidra,s help , and shedding his ego , broke the shell she has escaped in to and brought optimism and positivity towards life . Here Rafia is also one solid factor to help Kashaf to break the ice .
Many girls are there like Kashaf specially from low middle class ,avoid to move in upper strata of society .

Kashaf i found to be not from outer planet . She got the right person in her life who made her life gulzar

Kasaf's character is very real. From childhood she had only seen rejection and struggle that made her bitter. She could not believe males as her mother was betrayed and she & her sisters were abandoned by her father. In university she heard Zaroon telling his friends to cheat her or tame her ego. Such incidents made her more bitter. These flaws of Kasaf's character made her more real. She seems to a girl next door.

I had penned down an analysis of how I relate to Kashaf in an old post
The insecurities in Kashaf after seeing a disturbed marriage of her parents, the way people react to the rich and the poor and financial crisis had made her what she is.
This insecurity was the reason she used to jump to conclusions that nothing good can happen to "her" only. Petty fights with Zaroon and she will be grumbling that why did she work hard to make the marriage work at the first place, when she is not destined for it. (Note that when Rafia gives examples of Sidra being really happy, she doesn't buy it).
A trouble journey since childhood and memories of it cannot get erased in one or two years of blissful marriage, however perfect it may be. And it wasn't really PERFECT.
Take note of the fact that Zaroon married her because he respected her for her character and strong personality and found her close to his idea of an ideal woman, and it was not really "love", atleast not before marriage. Fights had to happen, however romantic Zaroon may be, cz he had his own set of expectations and was not really an all-selfless and giving person.
And, please I am not bad-mouthing Zaroon, this is human nature, very different from larger than life portrayals in TV shows.
The gradual progress of Kashaf's insecure nature to that of a satisfied individual who is grateful for what she already has is the poignant point of the story and the journey is meant to be enjoyed!

It was not love at first sight of run of the moll kind of show . evolution of the characters was shown gradually . Zaroon was not a perfect person and thats the something which made people connect with the characters . . He was like a child sometimes throwing tantrums or sulking to get Kasha,f attention . He wanted a partner who is with him ,he is conservative but with that liberal also . His character got matured with time also where he learnt from Kashaf that even husband wife needs to give each other space . Kashaf was always in his sub-conscious vise-verse .otherwise your day does not start with and end with talking about the person you are not on friendly terms . Kashaf came from different background and he was no fool ,quite knew his mind what he wants in life from his college days .
Kashaf was a challenge to him first who never minced her words giving him her piece of mind .was a strong woman . Watching Sara , Asmara ,his own mother where they were free to go wherever they wanted . He wanted someone opposite to all this . reminds me his talk with Kashaf when having dinner outside . Then tells her that he does not want a doormat but a wife who is equal to him .
Love can be defined in many ways where you first appreciate a person because of her characteristics and then it turns into love . Kashaf was slowly coming out of her comfort zone but still was not confident to trust a person . She lacked confidence where man was concerned . She was ordinary looking girl where as Zaroon was sought after eligible bachelor from high society . It was not easy for Kashaf to accept this fact initially . But shefelt Zaroon,s sincerity in his words . She was a mature woman .
When zaoon proposing her says that na jaane Kab tum mujhe achhi lagne lagi aur na jeene kab tumhe chahne laga . There he was genuine and that also Kashaf felt . It was Zaroon who brought her out of her insecurities , complexes and with Sidra,s help to understand Kashaf who never let him come sharing her thoughts . She was vulnerable and sensitive . Rafia again played a role to make Kashaf understand and her advices .
Yes agree with you Zaroon was not portrayed as larger than life person , he was a person with flaws . He was egoist but he shed his ego also to adjust himself in life . Here he also learnt from Sara,s experience and his father also had a hand to make him understand .
When we have people like these around us ,when we need then life becomes in Zaroon,s words Gulzar .

No it's not just that simple in Kashaf's case. I know dat's how most shows will show it, as a girl coming from a difficult background, overcoming the odds and emerging triumphant. But here dey hv shown the complexities of the character nd hw the childhood scars that she carried prevented her from believing and accepting life, even when in turned for the better and how very gradually she overcame her insecurities, not on her own, but being guided by her husband and mother too. So a very realistic portrayal.

all your replies on kashaf's character are well thought of. it is realistic and the director and the orginal writer of this story have depicted the reality of life of a girl in the society.
sometimes like two sides of coin, if we were to re-script kashaf's character a little bit, - she has created a wall of herself to the outside world, but to that extent she distances all of those who cared for her. till she realizes she is carrying twins, she does not trust zaroon her husband. no doubt there is a crack in her child hood when her father left their family. all said and done.. as we grow we need to outgrow our pains and embrace life.
zaroon on the other hand, irrespective of his flaws and her indequacies respects her to a certain extent, but she is no where shown that she respects zaroon as a humanbeing.. she does not acknowledge that.
i fail she does carry lot of attitude, and that is not fair.

You will find many girls who cocoon themselves because of being vulnerable where none can hurt her . If you read her diaries at that time ten you can get insight what she was going through . why she was having this phobia that having daughters ,she might go her mother,s way . Her trust factor was weak where men were concerned . Somewhere she did not share anything personal with Zaroon . Zaroon also learnt from her that you need personal space in married life also to nurture the relationship . She was an introvert person with lot of complexities . Why so many girls identified with Kashaf ? Zaroon loves her but gradually he brings her out of her cocoon with his love and understanding and teaches her what love is meant to be .
