I had penned down an analysis of how I relate to Kashaf in an old post
The insecurities in Kashaf after seeing a disturbed marriage of her parents, the way people react to the rich and the poor and financial crisis had made her what she is.This insecurity was the reason she used to jump to conclusions that nothing good can happen to "her" only. Petty fights with Zaroon and she will be grumbling that why did she work hard to make the marriage work at the first place, when she is not destined for it. (Note that when Rafia gives examples of Sidra being really happy, she doesn't buy it).A trouble journey since childhood and memories of it cannot get erased in one or two years of blissful marriage, however perfect it may be. And it wasn't really PERFECT.Take note of the fact that Zaroon married her because he respected her for her character and strong personality and found her close to his idea of an ideal woman, and it was not really "love", atleast not before marriage. Fights had to happen, however romantic Zaroon may be, cz he had his own set of expectations and was not really an all-selfless and giving person. And, please I am not bad-mouthing Zaroon, this is human nature, very different from larger than life portrayals in TV shows. The gradual progress of Kashaf's insecure nature to that of a satisfied individual who is grateful for what she already has is the poignant point of the story and the journey is meant to be enjoyed!

agreed, but being educated and working, little but of poise and senstivity should have changed her. she later thanks her almighty but it is too late.. even after getting a husband who is very understanding, she seems to be caught up in her own train of thoughts.

all your replies on kashaf's character are well thought of. it is realistic and the director and the original writer of this story have depicted the reality of life of a girl in the society.
sometimes like two sides of coin, if we were to re-script kashaf's character a little bit, - she has created a wall of herself to the outside world, but to that extent she distances all of those who cared for her. till she realizes she is carrying twins, she does not trust zaroon her husband. no doubt there is a crack in her child hood when her father left their family. all said and done.. as we grow we need to outgrow our pains and embrace life.zaroon on the other hand, irrespective of his flaws and her inadequacies respects her to a certain extent, but she is no where shown that she respects zaroon as a human-being.. she does not acknowledge that.i fail she does carry lot of attitude, and that is not fair.
