She was just emotionally driven at that point, but she does call him later so many times.. she expected Asher to trust her and take her side especially because she wasn't aware of how deep rooted his insecurities and jealousy was, he never shared it with her but instead he walked out on her and left her there.
I still consider both victims, and I pity Asher more because truly he lost out on the most.
Exactly. In spite of all the jealousy and insecurity he does come back to talk to her. Just too late. 😭
But he does, and that proves so much.
He won't pick up her calls, yes. He thinks she will ask for a divorce which he does not have the heart to give. He does blabber about how he hates Khirad and all, but no. He loves her way too much to ever hate her. That's how a hurt man is, covering up his hurt love/ego by strong and harsh words. But in actuality, he is too weak to hand out a divorce.
Also, a bit of the male ego. He cannot stand that his wife divorces him and weds another man. He wants Khirad to be HIS wife, with him or away from him. He cannot take her being the wife of any other man.
*Sigh* I feel so pathetic for both of them.
