i cant wait for 6th episode, the chess game, the way he tells sara that " khirad is capable of respect ", the way both of them discuss and Asher tells khirad that she should continue her studies..

Slowly yet surely Asher and Khirad are coming close to each other. They definitely looked reluctant to accept their quickly fixed Nikah which happened in a rather odd situation, discomforting the duo. But now it seems the two are warming up to each other with every passing day. The fifth episode of Humsafar, which is gaining popularity in India thanks to Fawad Khans ever-increasing fan base, saw many twists and turns. Sara's love for Fawad has gained obsessive proportions. She still believes that Khirad is not a good match for Asher for Khirad comes from a humble middle-class background and Asher has an MBA from Yale, he hails from an elite family and is uncomfortable as he doesn't get along with his biwi.
Later in the day, Khirad confesses to her mamu jaan turned father-in-law Basheer that it is not fair that Asher is forcefully thrown into this marriage, which he is not particularly happy about. But she also maintains in the same breath that Asher is trying his best to keep this marriage. Asher eavesdrop on this conversation and feels sorry for Khirad. Later in the night when Khirad is upset about her mother's death Asher extends his helping hand to his wife and that initiates a new equation between the two.
The most romantic moment arrives in the show when Asher asks Khirad to join him for a dinner party at his colleague's house. Khirad gets ready in a jiffy and stuns Asher into silence with her simplicity, elegance and beauty. Asher then unties her hair and suggests that Khirad looks better that way. The lovely moment surely melted our hearts. We are sure that it had the same effect on you too!

too much of fawad khan does snatch away the sanity..🤣. reporters ko bhi nahi pata k what they should do in such a situation,🤪 Fawad ko sabki mummys ki daant milegi for doing this only if the mummys are also not his fangirls, otherwise poora family ke auraat zaat barbad ek aadmi k waja se ..🤔

Episode 5: Asher aur Khirad ke badle tevar 😉❤️😳

Do not want to comment much on the first half of the episode, where we see Asher to be disillusioned with his personal life... Despite several attempts, Khirad remains incommunicado... But for a reason. We see her POV on why she is this way... At the same time Asher in his convo with Sara mentions to her that Khirad may also be feeling trapped into this marriage just as he was... Asher has such a golden heart and mind. Never does he think that Khirad has married him for his money or stature.

Baseerat comes across as a emotionally weak person.. First he did certain things driven by love or a sense of responsibility (?? 😲) for his sister and he is now feeling guilty about that.

Happy to see Khirad being frank to her mama. Her convo with Baseerat could have been either positive or negative).. I am glad Asher (being the sweetie that he is) took it positively and understood her situation.

Moving on to the epic scene, the poolside rona-dhona, Asher offering his support (through the hand gesture) to Khirad and the closing of the door (which marks the end of awkwardness in their relationship) and the beginning of a new phase of their life... Clearly something happened that night (possibly consummation of their marriage) because the next morning they seemed comfortable, shy and naughty with each other... exchanging meaningful glances that conveyed so much... That night also changed Asher's work habit... main bechara kaam ka maara run home as soon as he is free... And for that he is making bahanas to Sara 😆 Go Asher Go!!!! There is a gradual development of trust and love between them.

The last scene, as the other article states, Asher is stunned by how good Khirad looks... I remember when I watched this show for the first time and he says "May I", I has thought that he would kiss or hug her... 😳.. And the hairpin moment, the way he kept looking at her, I thought she would melt then and there... As FK said, there is no need to show physical intimacy to show romance! And we agree with you... 😃

Overall one of the best episodes of Humsafar 👍🏼

Shweta love your review, but I don't think they consummated yet, especially if you go by the novel. This scene was very important in the progression of their relationship, but there still was some awkwardness between them. I always felt that they became much much more comfortable with each other after the maths scene, and that night was when they took their relationship another step forward.

Possibly yes... Since I have not read the novel. But there was a sea of change in their behavior after that night... and somehow I feel that it could be because of that or maybe they had a frank conversation between both of them...

I am confused between whether I would have liked them to show a convo that night between Khisher, which would have clarified a few things on what happened last night... or I like it this way where the audience is left to guess what happened... 😆😆😆

Wish Bigg Boss cameras were there inside that red walled bedroom 😛 or maybe NOT 😕
