As far as I remember if I read correctly long back, maula jutt was most probably schefuled to go on floor feb march of 2015 and prior to that director most probably need the actors to go for training to get a look. So its first quarter of next year, atleast that was reported.
@Shreya, if he now refuses, then it will be really awkward for Sonam and kapoor clan.

Post Khoobsurat's release, Anil Kapoor's younger daughter Rhea has moved on to her next production, titled Saat Hindustani. The film features seven newcomers in the title roles. It will be her first production that won't star sister Sonam.
This start-to-finish action film will be directed by Rhea's beau Karan Boolani, who has served as assistant director on Rhea's Aisha and Karan Johar's Wake Up Sid.
A source very close to the project reveals, "Saat Hindustani doesn't require Sonam. It needs seven fresh faces . Those faces are now being finalised." It is learnt that Rhea's dad will be part of this film.
AR Rahman to score music for Rhea's film
It took Rhea a lot of convincing to get AR Rahman on board Saat Hindustani. Reluctant at the outset, what made him agree? Says Rhea, "I can't even believe that at this age, I am working with him. He is one of my heroes. I am so amazed that he has shown faith in our project because it's not in his comfort zone. That's why it took a lot of convincing. He was like, 'What are you guys making?' But I can't wait for people to see it. People won't be just surprised but shocked when they know what this is. It's not what people expect from me and it's definitely not what people expect from Sir. It's something for our generation for sure. Every generation needs their Rahman albums. I was persistent. You should ask him. I didn't want to talk about it at all because I respect him so much. For me, it's just enough to work with him. I think it was just me chewing his brains (laughs)."
