I think Fawad's popularity is a masla now. Expectations are very high from the actor who played Zaroon. But when he signed the movie things were different. If he was completely unknown and whatever he got in the movie would have been a bonus and he would have been judged as such like a regular newbie. But now he will be compared against Zaroon which obviously was a much better role.

Saw #Khoobsurat and now I totally get it how all the girls are going ga-ga over the khoobsurat @_fawadakhan_ Great talent.
This is good. He is an influential casting director and casts for non-starkid films. Has majorly helped Sushant establish himself.
Khoobsurat
You guys I got to watch Khoobsurat last night (because I'm a nice person) and let's just say we've finally learnt how to make the perfect rom-com! It had everything a cute romantic Disney movie should have! So basically my point is, book your tickets as soon as possible, because Khoobsurat is a must watch!

Manju and Milli should have their own spin-off movies, because these two were epic! Kirron Kher, as always, bowled us over with her performance (she had the BEST lines in the movie) and Sonam Kapoor gave ample support with her hilarious conversations with her ma on Skype!
Sneha Khanwalkar is a star. We knew that from Gangs of Wasseypur, but seriously, her music is so fresh. Especially her song Ma Ka Phone which plays at the exact right moments throughout the movie. Naina, composed by Amal Malik and performed by Sona Mohapatra and Armaan Malik, deserves a special mention too.
Khoobsurat
Khoobsurat is one of those few movies where it feels like there is no difference between the character and the actor playing it. Take Ratna Pathak Shah for example, she took Rani-Sa to such a level that we really thought she is a queen! Same with Sonam Kapoor... she played Milli effortlessly.

Not once did Khoobsurat feel like a stretch. It was a breezy, happy movie and not for one moment did we feel like the movie should have ended already! Maybe because of Fawad Khan's presence, I think the movie could have been longer... with just him..without a shirt.
Fawad Khan
Khaleesi called Drogo that while I call Fawad that. On the verge of sounding like Glenn Close from Fatal Attraction, I really think Fawad Khan was the breakout performer in this movie. He looks princely, acts princely, his face is princely, his beard is princely, and his biceps are totally king material. All hail Fawad Khan!

As I said, watch Khoobsurat and make your weekend happy!

The first bad review. But great news for Fawad fans:
FAWAD'S KHOOBSURAT DEBUT
Sonam Kapoor's Khoobsurat is nothing like the original Rekha starrer. Except for the basic plot of a bubbly spontaneous girl going to shake up a rigid stuck-up family, winning them over eventually, there are hardly any similarities between the films. I've seen the original version over a dozen times and always enjoyed the feel-good endearing film with one of Rekha's finest performances. This one, I must say is not to be compared, since the movie has its own predictable moments and flaws. It's a tad slow, the music is average, and Sonam's performance is mediocre. She has a role any actress would kill for but sadly her monotone performance lacks shades that her colourful costumes exude. Thankfully, the ensemble cast of Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak Shah and Aamir Raza Hussain, are first rate. But the best part about Khoobsurat is Pakistani actor Fawad Afzal Khan, who shines through even in the dullest moments. A great looker with strong screen presence, this restrained actor's presence is what makes this average looking Khoobsurat worth watching.
