Its better I skip the shawl scene,because well.. 😳 I have a temper u know 😵 And anyway I believe everyone is obviously going to give their POV's on that,let me try to talk about another scene which I found extremely gripping.

The phone call scene. It stood out for me for various reasons. It gave weightage to what I had described yesterday. The torture one goes through between the relationship not being fine until the actual break point. Silence is arguably the most fatal weapon that could be used in any relationship,specially in one which is already witnessing trouble.

Just as Khirad breaks down all alone in her bedroom as the feeling of being loneliness takes over her completely. Worst possible feeling,trust me. Her life completely revolved around Asher and this is what happens doesn't it? When u invest in the one u love,you go all in. No pre-nups. This is why when tragedy strikes,it hits u harder than it should and you are bound to hit rock bottom.

Khirad ofcourse was suffering,but Asher wasn't actually doing the opposite. The man was suffering himself. His droopy eyes and the furrowed forehead said enough. Though it took time,he realised that he might have made a big issue out of nothing at all. He was pissed ofcourse when he left,but even then,he was worried for his wife,isnt that why he made sure she went to a doctor. And look,he even enquires about it later on the phone.

Now when he actually picks up the phone,he wasnt exactly sure what to expect,but he calls her anyway. Khirad who was completely down,might have actually breathed (a tiny) sigh of relief seeing who was calling. Asher. As she answers the call,the first thing she manages saying(all through that choking and crying) is "kaise hain aap?" hearing his voice,Asher's already saddened eyes turn darker. He now feels even more sorry for putting her through hell. Her sobs though she tried to lessen,didnt go unnoticed at all. And Asher immediately realizes that his wife needs him and without much ado consoles her without even her saying anything "Main aa raha hoon,Khirad. Main jaldi aa raha hoon."

Every time he oepened his mouth he said "khirad..." re-assuringly. His spoke with as much pain as he inflicted upon her. As she says hopelessly that she's missing him,he feels a need to be assured again and he asks really? U are? Although he does feel bad in the very beginning of the phone call,he goes into damage control mode mostly bcoz he just cannot see her in pain and only then bcoz he is already over insecurity.

But with her re-assuring words,he breathes in and again assures his lady love not to worry,he'll be back soon with her.

I really liked how Asher immediately after hearing her voice,knows that she's upset and without even asking her the reason,tells her not to worry.

The whole scene was VERY well executed. Both Mahira and Fawad were very good! 👏 Fawad's re-assuring voice and the pain in his eyes. This gu is beyond perfection. Mahira Im really impressed today man. The desperation and longing was so well brought out by her. Full points to Sarmad for this scene.

Btw a few questions

-How did Fareeda get to know about Khizer's feelings for Sarah?

Last I checked,he had told about it only to Sarah. And maybe Zareena knew. But i dont think Zareena might have told Fareeda. Coz if she did,Zareena wouldn't have had that "W*F is happening" expression all throughout the shawl scene. she would have known the plan.

-Does Fareeda live on another planet? How could she possibly not know about a DNA test?

A typical saas bahu take on this nonsense btw. Ehh,nevermind. It struck me hard whatever it was,however OTT it was.

-What the eff is Zareena doing? Why isnt she opening her mouth?

Ok fine,Fareeda is her sister,so she will support her,but does she not realise that this will affect her own daughter? WHich mother would want a married guy who is obviously in love with his wife for her daughter?

Is she just too stupid to draw that conclusion? Or she's just plain blind.
