Yes, I am. I am a new fan too. We now have Dhanush and Fawad in common. Yay! 😃

I am not saying that Imran is not big in pakistan , he definitely is and so are many other good artists. But what i see as a difference is that the platform and choice and reception for the actors, while Fawad got that immense craze and hype from the word go with khoobsurat, Imran did not. everything about khoobsurat comes off as very tasteful, colorful while i donno about Imran's film.

The bigger the name, the more criticism and fame they get, which is the case of Fawad. I feel he is too sweet and humble and so well behaved, because the kind of craze he has generated within so less time, hardly even indian tv actors can do that. He is trying to explore which is a wise decision, he is not leaving pakistan industry and I am so sure of it.

PS:- Dhanush and Fawad in common.. and more irony to add is both debuted with sonam.. ahahaaa.. My men ⭐️

But since he did not do that, nor did he attempt to go for a film that requires boldness, we can assume otherwise for the time being. His idea of boldness, I think, is more character-driven than physicality driven. He played pretty bold characters in KKK and Numm too.

true that, but I hv read on fb that ppl are nw reacting to his statements of if and when the script requires it context and are calling him all sorts of name.

I agree with Disha in the post where she says that his people should be proud of him. Given the Bollywood has the other extreme of intimacy in the face than Pak movies or shows have, I think people have a perception of a celeb. And with this statement of his, he seems to be breaking that perception, therefore causing outrage.
The main thing being that "Bollywood and India" are spoiling him! 😆

Girls, i have many pakistani friends who are die hard fawad fans, and they are immensely proud of him and the attention he is getting. They are not taking it in a negative way but very positive about it. we cannot do much with ppl and criticism because every nation and every industry has some critics while the greater percentage are appreciating Fawad.
I am a bangladeshi and leaving the Bangladesh liberation war behind i can drool on any pakistani , it not in me that i will stay with history and belittle humen based on their nationality. Had fawad been from another country, indians wouldnt bash him and had he gone to hollywood pakistanis wouldn't bash him.
so its useless talking about it. I am happy till the time he is happy..

Harshu, let me just say Wali plays a very intense, dark, mysterious character. Its grey,to say the least.

The story is based on the Feudal lords and how they manipulate all their subordinates. Wali is the grandson of the fuedal,Sikander Bakht. Though he has been an obedient grandson,he has a few apprehensions about the whole feudal system. The very system which has manipulated his life and his relationships,in ways more than one.

What will interest you his how his character unfolds with each episode. His relationships and emotions are confusing even to him. The story is his journey of finding his stand in all of this mess. Does he stand upto what he thinks is right? Will he go against his own grandfather? Will he understand what he feels towards Mahjabeen-his wife through the "Vani"? Will Neelam-his newly wed wife ever understand what kind of relationship Majhabeen and Wali share?

High points :

-Fawad's portrayal of Wali. This gloomy, quiet, serious guy has more to him. and you will know this with each episode, there is something more to him. Fawad was brilliant as Wali.

-Wali and Mahjabeen scenes : these scenes will grip uou like no other. The intensity in this scene is outta the world. The Do they-dont they factor work so well for them. Ahhh,i cnat tell you how much I loved their scenes <3

-Wali and his grandfather's equation-FK and usman saahab scenes weer brilliant. You will enjoy watching how this relationship evolves with each episode

-The cinematogaphy-beautifully shot locations. ANd rare camera angles with some clasy lighting.

-The OST-mumkin hai..beautiful song. You'll be hooked to this song,I tell you.

P.S : I know u must be wondering what Vani is. Just google it. But dont read the reviews of Numm in any site. 😆 They've given a gross idea of what it really is,to say the least.

Its the age factor between Mahjabeen and Wali which has been blown out of proportion. Trust me,just look at it as a story between an older lady and a younger guy. That's it. Dont believe the reviews.

Patakha.. plss take a hug from me.. and let me know ur real name o:p

Thank u so much for this, i mean i was lost about Numm, in wiki also no proper plotline was present.. i needed this..
this seems tragic and intense, and good looking men like fawad is loved by me more when they are playing such characters onscreen..
I will so damn watch it, seems so different from Asher and Zaroon.. and one more thing Fawad's english accent is terrific , so yeah :D

I love Numm, Harshu. You should try the show. It's beautiful, intense and slow-simmering. And Fawad is brilliant in it. That show is not for everyone though and most people won't enjoy it. The show has a Lootera mood to it, which I loved. Loved.
Yes, Harshu, your post is brilliantly written and I agree with everything you said.
