India has mastered art of filmmaking: Pakistani actor Fawad Khan

Mumbai: For Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, working in Indian filmdom is like an "educative experience" as the country has mastered the craft.

The heartthrob of Pakistan is making his Bollwyood debut with Khoobsurat' opposite Sonam Kapoor.

"The amount of experience that India has in filmmaking, for me it is an education to understand how systems work because we are re-propping our industry and it would be a valuable contribution," said the actor, who featured in internationally acclaimed Pakistani movie Khuda Kay Liye'.

"...they have mastered the craft to the extent that they have won over a global audience.

"I am actually able to take back certain form of education. For me, it is more importantly an educative experience when it comes to filmmaking and I would like to incorporate that in some way or the other back at home as well," he said in an interview.

Khoobsurat' has been produced by Sonam's sister Rhea Kapoor and directed by Shashanka Ghosh.

The fate of the film, which also stars Kirron Kher and Ratna Pathak Shah, will be known when it hits theatres Sep 19, but Fawad has already won a fan following thanks to his TV show Zindagi Gulzar Hai'.

I think Fawad does so much less work that you dont have any option but to see all of his work..Armaan is okish one time but i really liked Armaan and Danny in thr.

I am confused as to why FK did Armaan though as he has clarified many times he doesn't like doing such lover boy film but still he did Armann..must be coz of some frds he did it??

Btw Fawad looked very much young in that and that made lead actress (she is in Maat) looked like his granny

he did it bcoz he was one of the sreenplay writers of the movie 😆
i dont know the real reason but i m making guesses
and other reasons could be Anjum Shehzad director of movie
as Fawad already worked with him in Satrangi
which was quite good drama
and maybe the reason that film was a remake of an old blockbuster pak film Armaan
and he was portraying the role of Waheed Murad who was known as chocolate hero of that time
and Fawad is current chocolate hero
people often compare him with Waheed Muraad in terms of looks also
