TAM Media finally released the data for Zee's premium general entertainment channel Zindagi after three weeks of its launch. According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 29 of TAM 2014 (July 13 - July 19) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Zindagi has fetched a gross viewership of 29 GTVM while it had garnered 27 GTVM last week.

Thats pretty less isnt it? But anyways its a new channel and that to premium one so cant be compared to other Hindi GECs.

^^ That's not bad actually.

They only have four shows, no weekend shows. The channel doesn't come with most service providers. They are doing almost as good as V from the start.

The ratings should get better once the channel is widespread.

#Star but i read in an article by Zee that they are expecting 100 TVM from Zindagi tv. i agree its not available yet... it will take time from veiwers end too to switch to Zindagi from usual hindi serials... like They have major trp gainer shows like Jodha Akbar then Mahabharat to Diya Bati to Yeh Rishta to compete with any channel... this is the prime slot for Zindagi... it will take time for loyal viewers to switch to something different i think!

Yaari, yes I read what you are talking about. But that is their long-term ( six month) goal. They cannot possibly expect 100 GVTs now. The channel is doing okay actually. They may, however, need to re-air ZGH. Also, considering how short the shows are and how they come everyday, this is pretty good for a beginning.

Zee Network has been doing pretty good lately.

Star, yes they need to retelecasts ZGH, AZ on different slot once channel gets more subscriber. TRP is not issue for Zee networks coz they are no1 hindi entertainment network worldwide. Latest i read on their reports, they had increased 17% Advertisement revenue last quarter. If Zindagi Tv gets profitable advertisers, then there will be no problem with trp. it will take time to pick up. Also Zee will be launching another fiction channel in next few months. Hope they keep promoting Zindagi tv

I think they should avoid airing shows on weekends. Also shows be aired systematically. It gets confusing if some show starts on Saturday and another on Sunday when all others start from Mondays. If there is a gap they must air telefilms or special shows.

Yeah, Zee has been on a launching spree lol. Zindagi was launched very unceremoniously, let's see what they do with the new channel. But they definitely need to re-telecast both of these shows like you said.

RockChicGirl, Viewers switch easily. As shows get over within a month, they probably do not want to keep break on Sunday so that viewers do not switch.
