Zaroon presently doesn't love Kashaf. he has an image of an ideal in his mind, the one he wants to marry, the one he wants to make a part of his life. And all that he knows about Kashaf makes him think that she is the closest to that ideal, she is not that ideal.

As he says he likes her habits, the way she does things. She is head-strong, confident girl and he doesn't need to know the full thing about her past for that. the way she took a stand for herself in the library, the way she conducts herself and doesn't need anyone's support or friends is a proof enough of how strong she is.

Kashaf is his ideal because e even though she doesn't keep bragging about her liberal behaviour, her independence she is actually LIBERAL and INDEPENDENT. And he knows that she is ACTUALLY LIBERAL unlike his mother or Asmara.

He presently RESPECTS her and NOT LOVES her😎. He will love her afterwards when he has wooed her to bits.😆❤️

Very tough job as i also have seen few when they got engaged and he is romantic person where Kashaf is not , he is talking about moon stars and the whole sequence was quite amusing .

Zaroon studied with Kashaf for 2 years in university.

In those 2 years for the scenes we were shown, we can figure out what impressions he has of Kashaf in his mind. The things that pissed him off then are exactly the things he wants in his ideal and he has realized that now.

After their first meeting he knows that this woman stands up for herself and does not take crap from anybody. He also knows that she does not give a damn about his money or popularity or class or looks. She challenges him every chance she gets, she does not fawn over him like every other titli in uni.

She is intelligent, smarter than him maybe.. made him work harder in uni than he probably would have, some men like smart women na. Even after HE the most popular guy in uni started flirting with her she paid him no heed... wont take his gifts, wont take lift from him and when she had to after the concert she was uncomfortable, she did not like being out at that time with a guy. Her izzat, her reputation is important to her.. something he puts a lot of importance on as we see from his reprimands to his sister.

Then their library fight where she gets puts him in his place for basically disrespecting her, she questions his upbringing, his morals, puts a mirror in front of his face for his actions something that no person, no girl ever dared to do.

Now after they meet up again he sees she has made something of herself professionally, something common between them maybe as they both went for CSS and government jobs.

She still challenges him, still does not stay out late which tells him this is a woman who goes home on time who will probably give importance to her hubby & family, still probably gets his mind engaged with what will she will throw at me now, u know wont talk on and on about how she was jealous of me, i went here, i went there with so and so and it was fun like Asmara 😆

Isn't all this enough to prove the line "I like her. She has strength of character" and isn't all this enough for him to love her?? For me this is a mature realistic love, where he is picking his life partner looking at if this person is ideal for me as per my ideologies and set standards 😊

Not a long post but you have analyzed the question of this post logically . I liked your take on the whole Jaroon and Kashaf,s equation . Its not some love story i find it with substance and with some meaning .

@jeannieja - I loved your long post. it actually makes a lot of sense. I wished we had spent more time in the university scenes so that picture could have across more clearly . in stead on long scenes of the dad and his second wife.

Look I feel zaroon was always attracted to her...he used to look out for her in the university...she was in his subconscious and if you remember in his dairy accounts (the laptop accounts) he even once said that kashaf was the (though saying that he hated seeing his name after Kashaf) that 'pehle din se leke abtak na main usme koi khami talsh kaar paya hoon aur na koi kamzori" this shows that she always had an impact in his mind...probably with maturity he realized that he liked those quality itself...In fact today he himself said that she was the ideal kind of women that he would like to marry because of her strength of character...and I don't think the style of Pakistani serial believes in exaggeration of emotions and leaves it for the viewers to perceive it as they want...that is what I liked the most about these two characters romance...Though I found zaroon a little hypocrite but I feel he was truly attracted to Kashaf and loved her, I mean he is not the kind of a person to be so interested in some other person's life but if you remember he always wanted to find out what Kashaaf said or did, why he thanked sir abrar or what made her smile- osama, the way later Kashaaf despite of hating zaroon accepting his proposal is justified...similarly in the past few episode Zaroons interest in her has also been justified and shown well enough.😊

I couldnt resist and watched a couple of episodes more. What I think Zaroon doesnt really love Kashraf...he thinks she is his ideal woman, respects her and wants to woo her and get to know her better. When he doesnt succeed in wooing her the usual way he would woo any other girl he decides to take the next step ie marriage. But having said that I think he also knows her pretty well from his college days...just like she knows him. Maybe he doesnt know about the incidents of her life but he knows what sort of a person she is, how will she react etc etc. Thats also very important in a relationship. In this respect he probably knows her best after Sidra and Rafia.

The interactions dat happened between Zaroon and Kashaf in college doest only showed that Kashaf is not interested in boys but much more abt her character. That is wat has influenced Zaroon. And he himself said that he is confused abt his feelings towards Kashaf but wants to marry her because she is very close to her ideal woman.

Not a straight line , it has some curves . Both will take time to understand each other . Jaroon wants a healthy family not like his own where father mother both were having their own lives . What he did not have , he is yearning for that . Professor asked him when he talked about his proposal and he frankly told him , he does not want a door mat . For bold lines Jaroon is sharp and shrewd from his college days and he met his match in Kashaf , who also knew what was going on in his mind whether it was her also pre conceived character of Jaroon .

Yes its actually interesting that whenever Zaroon objects to what Gazala, Sara or Asmaira do people including his dad and Abrar think he is being very conservative, a hypocrite etc. But Zaroon himself is very clear in what he wants. His wish is that his wife has enough time for him and their kids(when they have them) rather than someone who is always busy with her social life. I guess he sees such a woman in Kashraf apart from her being a match to him in every department.
