Interesting ending of update ,The word calling 'luv' brought my crush for previous short story and feeling like to read that again .

Part 12

"Now stop crying for that worthless person, he betrayed you" Arjun said.

She looked up from her teary eyes, stood up and rubbed her tears.

"What do you want from me? You will bring me back to that devil, who ruined not only my life, but my mother's life and many more.." Radhika replied furiously.

"I wouldn't.."

She gave him a baffled look, and asked "what do you mean?"

He stood up and closed the distance between them.

"I wouldn't bring you to him, only if you agreed to be mine forever"

He brought his hand upward and rubbed it against her cheek

"Give me pleasure, I'll give you life!!" he said in a husky manner with lust in his eyes.

Her palm cracked against his cheek, giving him a hard blow.

"I will die with honor instead of being a wh**e!!!" she shouted furiously.

He gripped her hair tightly, she moaned with pain, tears came for her eyes.

"Honor?? I will break your honor!! I will ruin you, every day I will have my pleasure whether you like it or not!! you will beg for your death but won't receive it!!that will be your punishment!!" He replied furiously.

He harshly threw her on the floor, she panicked but didn't show it to him. She threw the first thing, her hand could find on him. She kicked the chair which made a little distance between them as it fell in front of him. Without thinking twice, she stood up and tried to run. He kicked the same chair forward, she tumble and hit her head. Pain shot through her head, black spots rolled around her eyes, her vision slowly getting blurred. She felt strong arms forcefully turning her then she felt strong weight on her body. She struggled to remove the weight as it was pinning her and to remain conscious but she couldn't even move the weight or remain conscious.

Out of sudden, the weight was removed, perhaps she succeeded but then at the same time she heard a deep loud screech, perhaps her mind is playing tricks, she didn't thought more as she was already unconscious.

Arjun was pulled with sudden force that he didn't got time to compose himself, thus received a first blow on his jaw. He fell back and looked at the intruder, he couldn't believe his eyes, he was supposed to be dead yet he stood in front of his eyes without any injury, his eyes filled with rage, his fist clenched with anger.

"HOW DARE YOU??" Dev shouted furiously. Dev clenched his collar tightly, and pulled him upward with full force. He smashed his fist on his cheeks, his ribs, he felt like tearing him apart. The moment he saw him on her top while she struggled under him, his anger risen, his blood boiled every time he remember that horrifying scene.

"Dev!! You will kill him!! Stop it Dev!!" Birju shouted while trying to stop him. Dev didn't stop, he wanted to kill him, if he hadn't came before time, what would've happen to her, the thought only risen his anger thus, gave him more blows.

"He dared to touch her!!! I will kill him!!!" Dev replied furiously.

Arjun struggled to breath, with each blow, he felt so weak that he couldn't even defend himself, he wondered if he will survive this or only die.

"Dev!! Stop it!! Radhika!!! Radhika is calling you!!"

Dev stopped instantly and went towards Radhika, Arjun fell on the floor. Birju checked Arjun's pulse and gave a relief sigh when he felt it beating. At least he isn't dead, but he will receive his punishment.

Dev gathered her in his arms, tears fell from his eyes looking at her state. Her hair messed up, blood dripped from the wound on her head, her cheeks covered with dust, blood and dried tears.

"I'm sorry, luv, I shouldn't have left you alone.." He said while holding her in his arms.

Birju held his shoulder and said "Dev, we shouldn't stay here, we don't know how many more people are here, it's dangerous, and we have to tend her wound before something worse happens"

Dev rubbed his tears and replied "you're right, we shouldn't stay here for long!! The one who tried to kill us and escaped can come back with many more people, and I think he is involved with him"

"I think also, for now we should head home and tend to Radhika.."

"Do you think it's safe to go home?? The one who tried to kill us, followed us from home, what if he'll bring more people in our house, since he knows where our house is?? And I won't leave this rapist here, I want him punished"

"You're right Dev!! We couldn't possibly stay there or here for long..I think we have to find some other place to stay for the night.." he thought for a second then added "I know a place!! Master went there for some time..We can go there!!"

"Let's go.." Dev replied and started lifting Radhika.

"You expect me to lift this rapist which is much heavier than me??"

"I can't bear to look at him, I would just kill him if I lay a hand on him, it's better you lift him or you'll see him dead.." he replied and lifted her in his arms

"I was really insane to even suggest that when I know I have to do this work!! Damn this man for making me suffer for his own deed" he mumbled to himself and lifted him with all his strength.

Dev looked at his friend, he can see him suffering but he couldn't touch him with his mind still fresh with the incident, he wished he could kill him for what he did to Radhika but he deserve much more harsh punishment.

His eyes fell on the painting, he wouldn't leave it in the house, he took it with them.

She tried to open her eyes, but the pain shot like a knife through her head again, and made her shut her eyes tightly while she gripped her hand to soothe the pain. She gasped when she felt the hand entwined with her hand, strong and hard yet gentle, just like Dev's hand.

She instantly opened her eyes, causing more pain yet she tolerated it. She looked sideways and found him giving the most tender look and soft smile on his lips. Dev felt the sudden pressure on his hand and looked at her, hoping for her to regain her conscious.

He cupped her cheek and softly asked "Are you ok, luv? you need not worry now, you're safe here, I'm sorry I shouldn't have left you alone, but trust me--"

He stopped as soon as he felt her soft arms gripping him hard in her hold, she almost knocked him back with her sudden force.

"I knew it..I knew he was lying..you will never..betray me.." she said while hugging him tight.

Dev frowned and asked "What do you mean??"

She removed her hold and faced him then answered his question.

"He..said you are his friend, you lied to me..he said you never loved me..you only deceived me..you just wanted to only clarify my identity..you love me, right? You never deceived me, right?"

He cupped her face and rubbed his thumb to wipe her tears.

"do you think I will ever deceive you? or I never loved you?" he asked tenderly. She held his hands and shook her head saying no.

"I'm so happy, luv, that you never believed him, instead you believed my love for you.. what he said isn't true, I never knew him, the first time I saw him was last night when he was..when he was trying to..i mean when he tried to misbehave with you..he will never bother you again, I've taken care of him..you know who he was? What happened last night?"

"yes, his name is Arjun, he is one of the main person of the gang because he is clever, he was just teenager when he joined the gang, he always wanted me, but due to my step father, he never tried to misbehave with me, because he knew my step father would kill him for that, until last night, before you came, he knew about you, everything we did yesterday, he knows everything, I don't know how he got to know, but he knew I showed you my face yesterday, only yesterday I told you about my past, he said he sent you to know my mystery, he said he knew it was me but wasn't sure about it so he sent you so I can reveal everything about me..i didn't believe him, I wanted to know from you, if ever you lied to me, I wanted you to tell me not someone else..then I asked him if he will bring me back to my step father or kill me..he said he will not kill me only if I stay with him and be his damn wh**e, I got furious and slapped him, he got angry and tried to rape me while defending I fell and got wound on my head, then I don't know what happened, and I lost hope, I thought no one will protect me now..how did you find me? How did you know I was in danger??"

"before coming to your house we were attacked by a man--"

"What? Are you hurt? " She asked concernedly.

"No, honey, somehow we managed to defend, because we were two and he was only one, maybe he didn't expect two of us, his target was me not Birju, but before we could ask anything from him, he escaped, then I realized maybe you are in danger too, so I ran and found that bast***d trying to rape you, I got so angry, that I gave him a sound thrashing which he will never forget.."

She hugged him and said "Thank god you're fine, Dev, if something would've happened to you I would never forgive myself..i knew you aren't safe with me, what am I going do now? they already know about you, your life is in danger, Dev..oh, this is all my fault, I was so foolish, they will kill you Dev, I can't protect you Dev, even Raj isn't here, he would've thought something to protect you but--"

"Hey, hey, honey, nothing is going to happen to me.."

"what do you mean? You were nearly killed, I would never let you waste your life on me.."

"I'm not wasting my life on you.."

"You don't understand Dev, you will be killed, are you insane?" She shouted.

"YOU don't understand, no matter what I WILL PROTECT YOU!! I WILL BE WITH YOU!!" He shouted too.

"Why are you so overly stubborn?" she asked angrily

"you're asking me when you are stubborn too..i've had this enough, I will not listen to you now, end of conversation, don't tell me what to do and what not to do, I will do what my heart tells me to do.."

"Then go, do what your foolish heart says, go to hell, go die, see if I care.." She said furiously and lied down again, closing her eyes.

Dev smiled and said "that's what I needed, your permission, thanks luv.." then kissed her cheek and escaped before she could hit him.

"GO TO HELL!!" She shouted after him, she mumbled more at his hearty laughter.

"you shouldn't have done this to her, she is still angry.." Birju scolded.

"what can I do? She will not let me help her, If she didn't got angry, she wouldn't have given me permission to help her..she wouldn't listen to me.."

"you're right, by the way, that rapist is already imprisoned, he will never come out, for now we will stay here because no one knows about this place, Radhika's house is already surrounded by our men, but they would be foolish enough if they would think that she will stay there after knowing that she is already discovered..Our house is also well guarded, if Master come back, he won't be attacked..I wish Master comes back soon, so we can discuss this matter with him.."

"I want dad to come back too, but more importantly, I want to know this Raj, he would be taking Radhika tonight, I don't want him to think that something bad happened to her, everything must go according to his plan, whatever his plan is, he will just get worried about her if he didn't know where Radhika went.."

"I will be going back there, if ever this Raj comes looking for Radhika, I will bring him here.."

"I just really hope, we find him and end this as soon as possible.."

Radhika took another step forward, when she didn't find any soul. The house is actually very large; she is having hard time locating the main entrance where she could sneak away without their notice. She couldn't just let Dev ruin his life, she would go far away from him, so he would never get hurt. She just prayed that Dev or Birju doesn't discover her before she could find this cursed main door of the house. She smiled excitedly when she reached the dining table, only few feet away, she looked at the main door.

"I wouldn't think of doing anything stupid.." she heard a deep voice, the one she completely knew. She stiffened and groaned inwardly, why from all the people, only Dev discovered her.

She turned and said "Let me go, Dev, I'm not going to let you ruin your life!!"

"We aren't going to argue on this again, you heard me, even if you go from here, I will follow you!! so it's best you stay here!!"

"If I can't change your mind, you won't change my mind, I don't need your help, I can handle this alone, I will go from here, nothing can stop me!!"

Dev started approaching her, she wouldn't make it if she ran with her small legs and his long legs, he would definitely catch her. She looked sideways, and took out the knife stuck in the fruits.

He gasped and said "Radhika, put down the knife!!"

"No, not until you let me go!! Don't you come near me.."

"You'll hurt me??"

"I would if you wouldn't let me go, so back off.."

"Then let me see, how you will hurt me.."

"Dev, stop it, don't make me do this" She said while her hands trembled with fear. She couldn't hurt him yet she couldn't let him ruin his life.

"STOP IT DEV!!!" she shouted and took steps backward. She stopped when she felt a hard grip on her wrist and another on her waist, she looked sideways and found Birju's amused smile.

Birju took the knife from her hand, without removing his hold on her waist, while she cursed and struggled under his hold.

"She is indeed very beautiful and brave!! No wonder you fell for her!!"

Dev grinned and replied while approaching "couldn't help myself, she is like that, right, Mysty??"

She just glared at him, Dev bent down and lifted her on his shoulder while she hanged on his shoulder. She punched his back hard with her small fist while shouting for her release, nothing affected his broad hard back, it only amused him and made him laugh more.

The update was absolutely thrilling. Dev was a super hero and saved his princess. Loved the way he punched Arjun and then showed his stubbornness with Radhika.Waiting for the next update.

loved the update totally :-) It was sweet and at many points ,amusing too .Loved all dev radhika and birju . Radhika was most amusing the way she shouted 'GO TO HELL' .😳😳 Dev was cherry on cake making her angry 😉😉.
