The Baazigar Round - Your views

Hey everyone,

OK what's up with that round? Here are a few reasons I've come to utterly dislike the concept of that round:

1) What's the use of an elimination round if you're going to give "chances" when the contestant does BAD. It's like saying, oh you're supposed to be dead, but let's just assume we resuscitate you! I mean where's the whole point of it then?

2) The best dancers are being tagged each time. - I don't have a problem as such with it, but isn't it OBVIOUS that they're going to make it back if it's based purely on dance? I mean come on, tagging Siddhesh for example, will lead the girls nowhere. Obviously he's going to come back.

3) What's the use of being a baazigar if you can perform in other rounds? The whole point of it is lost then isn't it? It's not like you're preventing the contestant from helping his team, since I heard Siddhesh performed the fusion act, so he actually helped his team anyway!

4) Let's just assume someone DOES get eliminated, which won't happen according to me, but still... -- Isn't it just going to be loss of viewers? Many people watch this show for their favorites, and that's nothing they have to be ashamed of, on the contrary! They'll stop watching once their favorite goes out.

5) There's no theme for the round -- I mean if you're giving a challenge, don't let the opposite team play on their strengths. Break them, fight! It's going to be interesting only then! What's the use of simply putting a round for some more time?


I think they should have instead added another style round, where say, three contestants have to dance always. And it's always on a theme, both for boys and girls the same one. That would have been interesting, with every week, a new style. We're having judges giving out special themes for a theme round, why not have one with styles? Say first week jazz, then second week contemporary, then third hmmm popping, then fourth break dance, then fifth kathak/classical... Etc etc etc... That would be nice to watch!

The Baazigar round is just such a waste of time!

i dont think anyone will actually get eliminated but i thought the idea basically was that the person cant compete in the other rounds.. but if siddesh does the fusion then my understanding is wrong

I don't think anyone will get eliminated either...But I still like this show anyways because it is not based on audience voting and it is based on experienced judges...
Well I had a question...Is there going to be voting later?

Lolzzz i feel exactly the same ...Baazigar round is a waste of time ...atleast they should have done this way that winning team will have to give the dance form too to the nishaana ..even that would have been interesting. Like if they r choosing siddhesh and then telling him to do bharat natyam.....now that would actually create some interest ...but just come and do whatever u want is lack of creativity on the PH part
