Article: Aamir takes over from Aayush

Aamir Ali took over the captaincy reigns from tiny tot Ayush Khedekar to head his team Mast Kalandars (boys). The actor who turned dancer on Star Plus' Nach Baliye is keen on leading his team to victory. The guys didn't expect the show to demand such seriousness as it progresses so they chose to make Aayush the skipper of the team. Later when they realized the intensity of the show and the decision making it involves, the team decided to crown Aamir as the captain.

Says the actor, "We chose Ayush as he is a very sweet kid. Initially we thought, we are simply going to chill out and have fun on the show and never thought it will involve decision making, so we decided to free the kid. The boys later decided to make me the captain. I was fine by their decision as all you need is the presence of mind and make wise decisions. You might err but that's a part and parcel of the game."

Since this is a dance based show and arguably Siddhesh is technically the most fit and experienced contestant. So why did the team not choose him to become the new captain? "I think you need to ask this to my team mates who took this decision", says the actor.

The actor says that he is out there to have fun and will like to enthrall the viewers with fabulous performances delivered by the boys' camp. Talking about the expectations that one can hold from the boys, Aamir says, "We will have superb fun on the show and will come back with amazing performances back to back which will leave the viewers spellbound."

Aamir has transformed from a non-dancer to a performer and credits Nach Baliye for the same. He says, "Nach was like a crash course for me and a learning academy and with Zara I have become a performer. I was very raw as a dancer on Nach Baliye. I am still learning and working hard on my moves by every passing day but the confidence level as a dancer has risen."

He feels that at times the gender itself can be a disadvantage for the boys. "Our weakness is that we are boys. Boys are generally laid back and not very serious about things. Our strength has to be our unity. We will support each other during the hour of crisis", says the actor.

In his message to Indya.com readers, he says, "Please watch and love the show. And wait for me to come back with a stunning performance."
