Before getting on to the topic, i will start by thanking u Gina for such a lovely topic. Its an amazing post and was truly needed at this time.
Most of us know, that in order to humiliate and ridicule a person, one does not need any weapons. The choice of words and the tone, if are derogatory ones, can fully serve the purpose. To me, this TB article perfectly falls in this criteria.The way it has written abt and criticized MoNaya, i'm extremely disappointed.
A TV couple, who were already very busy in doing one of the leading shows of a popular channel, who have won the hearts of millions through their hard work and dedication, who have an amazing chemistry, (though i don't want to bring looks here, but have to say) who are beautiful, who are down to earth, are simple (plz feel free to add more), were the CHOSEN ONE to host the show. Then all of a sudden, just after TWO episodes, the production house as well as the judges realized that they were not good enough. My ONLY queston here is that wat was the criteria of being "good enuf"????
If it is that they are too busy..then that was already known coz they are putting their hearts and soul in MJHT.
If it is that they were not good at it..well, i'm sorry but i don't agree to it AT ALL. We all r from diff. spheres of life. Some of us r professionals, some r students.. If, for a minute, we just look back and go down the memory lane, we'll realize that on our first day of school/college and jobs, we were all nervous, inexperienced, and made loads of mistakes..coz from these mistakes we LEARNT..They initiated the learning process within us..And this did not mean that we were thrown out of our schools, colleges and jobs.
Now, lets get back to MJHT.. When the show started..some of us strongly believed that Mohit was an average actor (including me). But now, i take pride in being his fan. The way he has improved and excelled, i can't think of ANY other actor doing so. He has made a mark for himself and for this he deserves every bit of appreciation.
Before replying to this post, i saw yest. ZND's epi again. And believe me, i cudn't find a SINGLE flaw in MoNaya's hosting. They were lively, they were spontaneous, they were their own sweet selves, and for me, that is a great criteria of being successful hosts. Yes, there def. was a room for improvement and that room always remains, coz no one of us is perfect. If they cud do such a wonderful job as hosts in their first ever attempt, i wonder wat type of a magic they are capable of creating if they take up hosting again. Hats off to MoNaya, the HOSTS..
After reading a whole lotttt of comments abt they being out of ZND, i was initially veryyyy depressed, but now, am honestly, relieved. They don't need to continue working on a project that doesn't realize their true worth. This show was, may b NOT for them, coz i strongly believe that whatever happens, happens for good. So, it is good for them, for us (their loyal fans who will always be proud of them), as well as for SaJan. MoNaya have done and proved wat other couples of the telly world cudn't do. And for this even a standing ovation will b nothing..
Lastly, i wud say, that we all shudn't b sad. ZND wasn't the end of the road for MoNaya..it was and will prove to b a new beginning for them.
