However, he doesn't know that the marriage papers filed in court are in his and puchki's name together and husband and wife, so legally they are both husband and wife as well as on religious grounds too.

I also hope too like you said that asmita fires back at shan with his hypocritical views of her and the badnam gali, reminding him he also belongs there and he spend just as much time there as she did, and just like him she also spend most of her life away from there, so how is he any different from her.

I hope there is a scene where he has the nerve to belitle her by saying who or what is she, comparing her to him being a business man, where she then fires back at him calmly by retorting that he was handed all this on a plate, he didn't earn it, whilst whatever she has earned for herself. Shan like the majumdar snob he is says what did you earn, job of a dance teacher? She simply answers saying that and far much more, but that bomb she will drop on them another time, just like she just dropped the bomb of being shan's legal wife, and they all become curious with what else puchki is hiding.

Oh Samia, you are so pissed at Shan🤣. I get it I am too, currently he is my least favourite character even Ridoy is better.

From personal experience, there are people who will continue to taunt about the dance/dance teacher as a profession. As a dance instructor myself, I've faced criticism from people, whether it was a mere joke or real. But, that is one of the jobs which paid for several of my expenses & most students do enjoy learning it with time. I wish that they show that dance is also a good profession to be in because the negative stereotype stems from one's perception.

Lol I have no idea why there is a demeaning view of dance/ dance teacher profession at all. I mean dance is an art form, a means of expression, so how on earth that's something that needs to be looked down on is just weird. Anyways, dancing is cool and the same fools who look down upon dance professions would themselves enjoy watching it, just like people who go to brothels or people who watch po*n, yet at the same time look down upon the people providing the availability of brothels/ po*n.

Sammy, there are some people that view certain professions with a negative connotation. While dance TV shows that some parents don't like their relatives in the dancing profession, viewers know that it is a scripted emotional drama for the sake of fame & wealth. I wish they show that dance is profession where people either defame it or not.

I do not think I could have put it any better than this. Well done 👏. You have some very good arguments. It is bizarre indeed, how aesthetically one can view dance as beautiful and enjoyable, but as wrong in moral grounds. Precisely, it is like watching dance is okay, but being the one to dance while people watch is wrong. They don't glorify the complexity like this in TV shows well. If only they opened up to concepts like this in more details. For instance, they could begin by questioning what really makes dance wrong? Is it wrong in itself or is it wrong simply as a profession? It is possible that one could argue dance is wrong is in itself and to dance is morally wrong. But, I don't see many convincing evidences for it. While there are evidently several positives to dance. For example, it is a form of exercise. It can help us maintain our physical and mental health. I must admit, in my experience I have not often heard people say dance is wrong in itself - it is wrong even if one is dancing on their own - no one should dance. Instead, I think most people object to dance if there is a spectator. If we want to add the whole orthodox ideas like only your husband should see you, then dance is wrong if that spectator is not your husband. I think you get my point. If it is true that dance is not wrong in itself, but is wrong if there is a spectator [who is not your husband], then all this simply means that it is the presence of others that adds the wrongness in dancer and stains the performer. Since before the existence of this other' we see nothing wrong about dance. So, it is the viewers contribution to the whole situation pertaining dance. It is not dance nor the performer that should be ashamed or embarrassed.

Dance is obviously open to interpretations. Supposedly, one is that it romanticises promiscuity. This is if we consider the Majumdars take on this. There is nothing wrong with having a perspective like this. After all, we are all entitled to our outlook on the world. However, to think this personal standpoint is more valuable than those others see is nonsense. Majumdars are obviously prejudiced. They have preconceived idea of what is dance and they throw that on people like Asmita that won't care.

It looks like then Asmita has scope to explore different parts of society. Dance, Brothel and social roles like a daughter-in-Law. I hope one day she speaks out loud making references to everything questioned in one shot. How none of everything she is questioned on is wrong, not alone nor together. She is not the problem. The problem is simply their beliefs and the consensus they subscribe to.
