Forced Love

That is quite disheartening to see what Shaan did...he has made Hridoy belief in those words said by Asmita...it were meant only only for Shaan. It was rude of him to take advantage of short circuit and same dressing.

He didn't take advantage of the situation, he planned the situation to be so.

Like my above commenter said he didn't just take advantage, but planned everything from before which is why he asked ridoy to wear the same clothes as him. Having planned it all beforehand makes what he did worse than just taking advantage of a situation he saw.

Arey Yaar sammy, cut some slack for the poor guy 😊. He is doing it in the name of his brotherly love along with the long term guilt he is carrying. I totally get him, poor thing.

That was real below the belt. Not only did he trick Ashmita, but also deceived his brother into believing that the confession was for Hridoy.

I think they have shown Shan's journey better.. first he didn't know that Asmita was puchki.. she was coming in his path often. He felt kind of attraction in some sequences but he doesn't know why... Then after he knows she is puchki..he was excited and wanted to know more about where she was all these years..how she came in mumbai.. he craved for her yes as a friend all these years but before he cud .. Hridoy confessed his love in front of him..and he took a backseat.. but still he wanted to protect puchki when he was against engagement.. I think there is one scene where he says I dont want puchki to live in a family like him and never get accepted in it as their own... He was being protective there... Ofcourse during these situations..he realised that he hurts himself more when. He hurts her... And how she is in his mind all the time... I guess more in jail sequence..puchki also tells him to solve his confusion first.. whether he cares for her or hates her... As he taunted her and very next moment reacted on her getting hurt.. he takes his time to finally reach to realization that he loves her...what I had problem with was they cud have shown more of introspection on his newly found love rather than rushing towards confession.. still confession whether drunk or actual one was beautifully done... You feel sorry for him... As he says it to her..he loves her but can't do anything about that love..I think though makers rather than showing Fall scenes and random eye lock.. they cud have given some tender moments in between.. it was too soon into love and now back to repulsing it coz of circumstances..

On your topic, yes Shan was mean in that sequence but he shows his regret in scene next to it.. but that doesn't give him an excuse.. Puchki expressed her genuine feelings for him.. which he had an idea of.. He shud not have used the same... May be he felt that he came in between hridoy n puchki by his confession to puchki..and he wanted to amend by going away and bringing them together.. but yeah in any case this is forced relationship..and he shud have thought that this was of no use to hridoy as well..as her words were not for him...
