First I thought it will be revealed after leap but now I guess Nevidita will get to know his truth before giving birth to her child...

It was a filler episode...

Promo wala shan hmen tb hi mil skta ha jb wo puri life is guilt me guzare k wo ek prostitute ka illegitimate child hai!! Uske liye leap se phle revelation zrori hai!!

Shan will ultimately grow deprived of love.. which will make this emotional caring sensitive boy a rude rough and emotion less guy!!

If shan would have been shown as a successful educated business man having animosity for brothels n people who belongs to such places including his childhood sweetheart puchki. .. then people will be like throwing chappals on him..

Its necessary for shan's character to show the pain anger and circumstances behind his changed behaviour...

That is what I think. .. but this also could have been shown without dragging...
