I see a lot of discussions in the recent LU and other threads that revolve around Season2 TRP decline, makers need for such a typical surrogacy and baccha track, writing and screenplay weaknesses, missing character consistency, lack of flow, rushing tracks,...
So I thought maybe we should have a single place to discuss why S2 is not resonating with us as much as S1.
Some S2 pain points I can think of:
S2 tracks look really promising in some episodes and then completely opposite in the others.
It feels like writers are changing their minds every few days about where they want to take the story and characters.
It’s difficult times and cast and crew are risking their lives to provide us the entertainment. Actors are putting in their 100%, but the emotions fail to reach us as much as they did before because of rushed execution.
The subtlety in our show seems to be greatly missing and everything feels like in your face TV.
Constant baccha jaap is seriously off putting and MishBir going through one more trauma right after they got over the previous one is emotionally draining to watch.
A lot of us now feel detached to the show and we watch it just out of habit but don't feel that excitement that we felt just before the break in March.
The constant looming threat of low TRP also contributes to less enjoyment of the show in general but again that is out of anyone’s hand and nothing can be done about it. However, we can’t help but wonder how much show’s time slot change to 9pm has contributed to low TRP and the introduction of the dreaded Surrogacy track!
So what gives and what can be done to make S2 tick again?!
If makers ever come to our forum looking for some feedback, it will be nice to have all the discussions in one place. Even after feeling quite unhappy about the makers decision for baccha and surrogacy track this early in our show, kahin na kahin we still have a remote hope of things getting back on track one day... shayad hamare discussions se makers might get some clues on how to do that?
Let's have civil discussions and please no name-calling for the makers or anyone.
