I have written yet another very long post to bore ya'all đ Kindly forgive the length.
The views expressed are personal and the intent is definitely not to sound patronizing or bash any character. There might just be some repetitiveness even, but all in all the post sums up what I feel about the recent episodes.
At any given point of time despite of her harsh words I feel convinced about Kuhuâs intentions and actions and the fact that her heart is at the right place. However when it comes to Mishti I really have to try hard to understand where she is coming from and whether or not she does always mean well (as far as Kuhu is concerned)
For instance,
Kuhu did realize her demand of getting married to Kunal on the same day as MishBir would have hurt Mishti, you could just sense she knew Mishti was affected and wanted to check out if she was okay.
When she almost pleads Mishti to understand that she did not deliberately damage the necklace which was supposed to be given as nek, you simply know she was being genuine.
Kuhu was the first person to call out Mishtiâs name out of concern when Mishti fell on holika dehen night (of cos she was also walking in the that direction so it was easier for her to see but she quickly came to Mishtiâs aid just as Abir did)
Notice how she also asks if Mishti was okay after they fell together in the pool in one of the episodes this week.
These are gestures of care and concern which I really appreciate and which convey that no matter what she says, Kuhu always looks out for her sister.
In contrast Mishtiâs love and concern for Kuhu doesnât naturally come through, and then you begin to question if it is even there or not. One of my friends put it in the best manner possible â
Kuhu always wanted from Mishti a confidante but Mishti always looked at Kuhu as responsibility.
What I see happening is Mishti takes Kuhuâs actions at face value and she is skeptical of her intentions because she has not been able to understand her sister. On the other hand, Kuhu is one person who having lived with Mishti for all these years has understood what a twisted person she is. In that sense thinking from Kuhuâs perspective it wouldnât be wrong to say that living with Mishti is also very tough.
All of the above said, the idea is certainly not to say that Mishti is some villainous person. Or that she is the root cause of why the sistersâ equation is the way it is. Mishti and Kuhu have not been able to empathize with each other for the different set of struggles they face because they have not been able to put themselves in one anotherâs shoes and see what their struggles are.
It is ironic and funny in way but Abir and Kunalâs rather childish attempts did in some ways manage to make the sisters come together even if their actual issues remained unresolved. Which made me think that maybe the very adult like approach of sitting and discussing doesnât always work in the favour of all equations especially when two people are so not on the same page. Maybe it needs peculiar situations for them to come together and to be able to express that they are not each otherâs foes.
I have been super off put by Mishtiâs insistence about Abir holding Kuhu culpable despite of him having done so in his own way but here's bit of an attempt on understanding where she might be coming from-
a) Telling on about Kuhu is Mishtiâs age old habit and she has always resorted to that at their own house, thus itâs difficult for her to not follow that now (even though earlier she had herself decided to keep the truth to herself considering how it could have created a rift in the family.)
Or maybe Mishti only likes to take certain decisions when she wants to take them not when sheâs been asked to take them. Remember when she did not want to work in Red Pear because she wanted to create a separate identity for herself rather than working in the same company as her prospective husbandâs. But we do see her working in the same NGO now as Abir.
b) The Rajvansh family isnât like Maheswari family where Mishti would be constantly hailed and looked at as the ideal child. There is no favoritism going on here. It is tough to make a place in the fam or stand out in the ways Kuhu did, so probably pin pointing at Kuhuâs flaws would make Mishti feel that she at least has some edge.
c) Maybe itâs Kuhuâs past actions that are weighing heavy on Mishtiâs mind.
You took away my mandap, I let it go,
You damaged the necklace which was supposed to be my gift, I did not tell anyone.
You spiked Abirâs coffee, I did not share such an important truth with the family either.
But despite of all of the above if today I only have to see Abir not siding with me but with you then it is very upsetting..
Abirâs thought process might be on the right track with regards to how he should be handling a situation concerning Kuhu, but in rendering Mishti alone over the tussle he would not be helping matters. Which is what makes me feel all the more sad about how Mishti and Kuhuâs relationship is because had they been on good terms they could have been each otherâs support in the sasuraal instead of looking at one another as competition.
