Glad you liked reading it. I understand that your post was basically nowhere near about what I had written, but I very rarely try to focus on the lead characters or their arcs. For the most part from what I have seen so far in Indian shows, the leads are the most narcissistic characters you can see in a show, who justify most of their irrational actions and decisions either in the pretense of honesty or in the disguise of sacrifice. I just wanted to say that the day Kuhu starts focusing on her life alone, she might get some semblance of order in her life back. Thanks for reading. Peace ✌️..
Lol, I wanted to quote your post but it is not showing, not sure why...
I do not have a problem with people discussing various characters. But what does worry me is sometimes I read posts from both fan camps and it looks to my eyes like 2+2 = 7...that really worries me. What you see is often what you get, with some causal links shown...but the reason I get worried is sometimes people just jump to all manner of justification whether the base has been shown or not. It not only happens here but in other shows as well. This is partly reasons why I do not get involved in discussing characters, scenarios and etc.
In this show, for example, we were shown more from Mishbir perspectives than others, hence lot of understanding for Mishti than say kuhu. The causal links are very clear and you can actually dot the growth arc as it follows the proper character arcs. But this is not the case with many of the other characters and I just accept it as as it is, rather than trying to get 2+2=7😆...I admire those who can actually. But I am wary as well...
Like you I too want the writers to be consistent because only then it makes sense and rounds the character up as each viewer has interpreted. I guess disconnect happens when something/some actions are so exaggerated that we just snap out of the empathy and understanding. But that is ok. Just in real life we cannot like everyone the same is in a tv show as well. When that happens, really writers should be given 👏 as they have created true to life.
