I can imagine the emotional toll it has taken on Mishti (with all the things you've mentioned) to keep fighting with everyone instead of just being happy and remaining content with her life. I agree that Mishti's actions are understandable. My point wasn't about Mishti's character per se and I'm not blaming her. Instead my point was about the route the writers chose. If they went the route of the prev promo, it wouldn't have undermined the love Mishti has for her family and would have given a different flavour to an otherwise typical track. Even now, what makes this track positive is Abir's reaction to it all, for which I'm glad. I guess the disappointment some (atleast me) have about Mishti is because of the promo that the makers gave in between that indicated something else all together. Other than that, I wasn't really disappointed in what Mishti said because most of what she said was the truth.

Dealing with people like Meenu requires little tact and shrewdness and our FLs lack that. They are too seedhi saadhi I don’t think her situation was that adverse, that she could not have found a way out and I am very much saying from her point of view. Vulnerablities, dilemma, insecurities are part and parcel of everyone’s life. That makes us human and the same goes for Mishti. I understand that Kuhu, Jasmeet (whom I will never understand what’s her problem with Mishti at all ) have been nothing but demonic towards her, but we have also seen her childhood scenes where bade papa always tried to make her feel home. He tried to build confidence and self esteem in her which got shattered because of sudden events in her life. When she cried badi Maa hugged her like a mother. They through their actions said the same thing what Abir later in her life told her, that she is not like their daughter, she is their daughter. Abir has so many times stood for her without even her asking. Yes he has been an appeaser of Kunal, but that didn’t stop her from speaking her mind. She might not have everybody’s support but she had people who strongly supported her, most importantly trusted her. Was this assurance still not enough to at least speak out that Meenakshi was literally blackmailing her. Meenu’s behaviour is beyond disgusting towards Mishti. She not only verbally blackmails her, but she intimidates her. That is threatening. No matter what she says, I feel she is telling that if you don’t leave Abir, I will kill you. This kind of behaviour should be addressed immediately. In no way this is normal. Mishti let herself pressurised to an extent that it became suffocating even for her. Now if BP or Abir gets upset, for me they are justifiable because Mishti made them totally confused. They are family members and lover and there is a trust factor between them, which Mishti too was responsible for keeping . They believe that in crisis, their loved ones will reach out to each other but Mishti didn’t. Moreover, just imagine if things come out through Parul. It would be so bizarre. She does not have the backing like Abir or BP. Her son Kunal is totally trapped in Meenu’s clutches. Not only that there are chances that Meenu could throw her out using Kunal, in case she goes against Meenu. In Parul’s case there is uncertainty about how Abir would behave. If she opens her mouth, she might be left without a home. Still CVs will make her character speak but will Mishti will not. Thankfully, over here Abir will realise Mishti’s intention and will reach out to her. But I am afraid future will again give her reasons to sacrifice and give up given that she will have a Mil like Meenu. If she does not finds a way out, she will end up making same choices again and again.

Like you said, I’m also glad Abir sees right through her and will support her regardless of Mishti telling him the truth. I don’t know how the dynamic will be after these two get married but I think Mishti is not the kind of person to keep making the same mistake over and over again. But we just gotta wait and watch what happens next before we start projecting our past experiences of female leads lmao

I get you.......Actually Kuhu ki shaadi ki baat na hoti she would have answered her, kicker was that. The whole shaadi agreeing plan was made in first place to torture Mish. Bade Papa ko ajeeb bhi laga haan karna Meenu ka achanak without even Abir's influence but his hands were tied bcz Varsha and Kuhu were begging.........

Do you think Mish batati, to kuhu ne believe karna tha. IT raid ki bhi vajah mish ko bola tha usne, she forgot ki raid valo ko Meenu ne bheja?

See Bade Papa ko batati to unhone to rishta todna tha. He likes simple life with simple life.. Drama unke bas ka ni hai again his hands are tied too.....i dont think dil se accept kar paye hai vo. Abir is more a go to guy/family member to him than Kunal is...Then Abir ne kehna tha tumne muje kyu ni bataya mai kuch karta

technically anyone getting married when MIL is Meenu is insane idea no matter if you're getting to Abir himself(love the guy, you know fact is fact) . The fact sisters aren't close was again a plus factor for Meenu to capitalise over. Agar girls close hoti to Mish batati hun why it didn't work with Kunal....and then pichla rishta toote ko time hi kitna hua tha........dusre ki baat shuru ho gayi.....things are interconnected.....here

there is one point I want to discuss..you know my cousin's marriage is fixed recently.. Both the bride and groom to be were taken in different rooms and were asked from different family members if they were okay......nothing of the sort was done here. Very conveniently Abir and Nanu answered those questions, out of love. Future me Kunal can easily say bhai aapki vajah se hua sab tb kya karega Abir.

similarly i love Abir for not letting Kuhu beg anymore but that was Kunal's job not his.

I understand what you guys are trying to say. Just that I think Mishti in all this, somewhere failed to realise that a child is most important for parents. Our society has definitely evolved to an extent that people are now educating their girls but , still when it comes to trusting their choices, their decisions, their lifestyles, the same people still become apprehensive. But Abir and BP are very different. They not only trust Mishti, but they are so proud of her. In that context, I find her decision a bit irresponsible towards them. Mishti while trying to do good things for them ended up jeopardizing their biggest happiness which is she herself. Rest of the people, I am not very concerned with. Another thing is what she said about Kuhu etc., lot of things were true as well. Hope that had come out genuinely and not because of Meenu's pressure. Kuhu and Jasmeet's behaviour towards her is terrible irrespective of whether Meenu blackmails her or not. With that said, one thing I really appreciate that writers did try to explain Mishti's character and her stance. It was not left as a loophole. Though I don't agree with Mishti, but I will give her some extra points for looking too much cute while crying and telling Meenu ki bhagwaan sab dekhta hai. Meenu seemed moved for 0.0000000000001 second. Waise Meenu pe koi asar hona nahi hai par Meenu ko jab bhi koi sunata hai and Meenu becomes speechless it is music to my ears..😆 I think from next week onwards we can expect some positivity to return. Last shaadi mein Ketaki bhaag gayi thi, is shaadi mein Kunal bhaag raha hai.
