He kept looking on while the girl he loved continued to wreak havoc around her. His heart kept on telling him that this was not her she was incapable of doing something like this. All around him people are questioning her but he choses to remain silent for he rather not insult his love by questioning her. She goes on to reveal that her love for her sister was just a farce, a pretense that she kept up for her family and this is the first time something breaks inside him. When Misthi revealed the truth the camera panned on Abir’s face and his eyes conveyed so much shock and pain because she withheld the truth from him. However, he choses to remain silent because his heart is overpowering his brain. His heart is telling him to look beyond her words its telling him to ponder on the fact that how visibly shaken she looks to spew so much venom. This is not the girl he fell in love with. This is not his angry chorni. As the rest of the RV family leaves he choses to linger for a bit. It was heartening to see that out of all the people when Bade Papa was asked to fix things, he put a hand on Abir’s shoulder silently pleading him for help and our homeboy understood.
“Mujhay thoda waqt di jiay main sab say baat karta hu promise” He reassures them and then slowly walks out but as he does his eyes can’t help but gaze at her. That particular scene where the sad tune of YRHPK starts playing and looks at her while leaving was phenomenally acted out by both Rhea and Shaheer. In just one look his hazel orbs convey so many emotions as they look at brown eyes behind the glasses but his eyes are not met with defiance rather in them he sees an unbearable amount of anguish and pain. Her eyes are imploring him to trust her but its all too much to take in so he looks away and walks out. The song continues as she continues to look at his retreating form and she can’t help but keep her tears at bay so she runs off to wallow in isolation. The entire RV clan has gone silent so much so that the loudest sound is made by the door as they open it with a thud but in that silence something else is breaking apart that cannot be heard but it can be seen in the weariness with which Abir walks in to his house. He looks so defeated that even Jugnu can’t help but wonder on what’s wrong with him.
Din lagay yaar rehna
Choota jo tera saath hain na(This was so apt because Abir said once that nowadays he feels that Mish is distant even when she is close by and today she seemed so far away from him)
Pehlay say rahi baat hain na(Things are not the same between them before this she used to confide in him and share things with him but now she chose to keep him in the dark)

As he walks in and sits on the sofa the decorations and the lights around him continue to dim out but it doesn’t register with him. Even Kunal notices his pain and for a brief moment we see Abir’s Naanko who can’t help but go up to his brother to ask him if he is okay. As Kunal calls his name he can’t help but hug him and he instantly goes into big brother mode and asks him if he is okay to which Kunal replies that as long as Abir is okay than even he will be fine. As BB looks at them from a far she asks god to keep their bond intact but I am afraid when the truth comes out this bond will suffer the most. At the other end Varsha is hysterical as she fears that her daughter’s barat might never come. BP though is concerned about the secrets being kept in his family when your own loved ones lie to you it hurts even more. BP questions Kuhu on her bond with Mish and he even calls out Varsha on her lies. I loved it how he pointed out that Kuhu was supposed to tell her parentage secret to Kunal beforehand. In the RV house the brothers are still in deep conversation.
“Bharosa toh toota hain” Abir says and reminisces on how Misthi exposed Kuhu’s parentage in front of the whole family but than he goes on to say that everything happened so fast that he is still processing on what happened and why it happened.
“Agar woh mujh say pyar karti hoti toh inta bada saach mujh say chupati. It’s too early main jaan ta hi kiya hun uss kay baray main” Kunal very smartly tries to plant a seed of doubt in Abir’s brain that there are no secrets in love and maybe he just doesn’t know the real her but Kunal here forgets one vital piece of information. He is right in the aspect that he doesn’t truly know Kuhu but the same cannot be said for Abir who knows Misthi perhaps better than anyone else. On cue Parul walks in and tries to make the boys understand some vital life lessons.
“Jhoot bolnay walay sab log buray nahi hotay kuch jhoot hi buray hotay hain aur kayi baar hum apnon ko dard say bachnay kay liay bhi jhoot bol detay hain” These lines were so apt for Mish and it was exactly what Abir needed to hear at that moment. We need to distinguish between the lie and the liar. Sometimes even good people end up lying in order to save someone from the bitter truth or in order to protect their family from pain. That is what Mish did she chose to lie for her family does that make her a fool yes but it does not make her a bad person. Sometimes, circumstances force us to act in a certain way. Log galat nahi hotay kabi kabar bas halat galat hotay hain jo logo ko majboor kar detay hain. While Parul Maasi tries to make them understand the other perspective BB chose s to remind them the they main thing is that they lied to us. In such a beautiful way makers have shown us the contrasting personalities of both BB and Parul whereas one tries to see reason the other just wants one to act without reason . BB asks everyone to relax in their rooms in order to cope up with what has happened. Kunal goes up to BB and tells her that they might have won but he is not happy because he is afraid of the pain he has seen in his brother’s eyes today. It hurts too see him like this and it makes him wonder if sending Misthi away is the right thing BB however, as we all know doesn’t care rather she compares Shewta with Misthi and tells Kunal that he must take care of his brother later. That whole scenes was so amusing as this mother-son duo is delusional there is no comparison between the gold digger Shewt and Mishti. Abir will break down if Misthi leaves as many times he has said that Misthi meri zarorat hain you just can’t expect a love like that to vanish in thin air. In their quest to save Abir they will end up losing him. BB stoops to an even lower level as she asks Kunal not to pick up Kuhu’s calls and promises him that she will call of the wedding.
On the other side Misthi is crying while she packs her bag and in anger and frustration she throws her spectacles to the side but than she immediately rushes to pick them up as she remembers that they were a gift from him. She holds them close to her heart and closes her eyes and then she put them on and looks at her broken and defeated self in the mirror. She remembers how he said “Main jaanta hu tumhari aisi soch nahi hain toh aisa kyun keh rahi ho” she than goes on to ask if he can look past everything she did and said. “Tum nay kaha tha na Abir kay tum jaan tay ho kay main aisa nahi soch ti kiya tum nay bhi un baton par rishwas kar liya” she can’t help but wish that since he knows the real her he won’t doubt her. She picks up her phone and laments on how she wishes to text him but can’t as she is afraid his mom might cause problems in the wedding. As she is lost in her thoughts BM confronts her and asks her where she is off too. Misthi tells her that she is going to Mumbai but does not look directly at her BM. Badi Maas knows that something is definitely up as Mish refuses to look in to her eyes. At the other end Abir is talking to Misthi’s painting and his monologue is gut wrenching.
“Misthi kia tum nay yay sab kuch apni family ko protect karnay kay liay kiya kyun kia Misthi aur tum nay mujhay kuch kyun nahi bataya I mean jab mainay tum say kaha kay tum aur Kuhu mujh say aur Naanko say bhi zyada aik doosray say pyar kartay ho tab tum nay mujhay bola kyun nahi kay aisa kyun nahi hain tum nay mujh say jhoot kyun kaha Misthi” This boy never fails to amaze me. Amidst all the doubts and the situation created by BB and her Munna he still choses to give Mish the benefit of doubt. Where other ML would have drowned themselves in anger and sorrow he choses to rationalize the situation by contemplating that she might have lied to protect her family. However, what hurts is not what she did but what hurts more is that she did not feel the need to confide in him. She chose to keep him in the dark about her relationship dynamic with Kuhu and that lie by omission hurts him like hell. Before they were in love with each other they were friends who believed that aik dost kay doosray dost ki har cheez par haq hota hain why did she not value that he asks himself and buries his head in his hands. He is immersed in his thoughts when someone walks in to his room and he thinks its Naanko but it’s actually his mom.
“Mujhay lag ta hain jaisay Misthi ko main jitna samaj paya hu peechaly kuch dinon main log usssay galat samaj rahay hain” Homeboy Abir take a bow man because your unwavering faith in Misthi is so refreshing to see. He tells his Mom that he knows her better than most people and he feels that people are misunderstanding her.
“Ho sakta hain yay hi sahi ho sab log mujay galat samaj tay hain ho sakat hain Misthi kay saath bhi yay hi hota hain” Lol I kind of loved it when BB said this because if you notice Abir’s expressions it seems that a light blub just lit up in his head. Indirectly his mom has given him the conviction that he is right and Mish is being misunderstood. On Misthi’s end she tries to question BM love for her. She tells BM that she knows that BM will not choose between her and Kuhu so she has to leave because after everything that has happened no one would need her here.
“Yahan kisi ko meri ki zarorat nahi hain” this was heartbreaking to hear because more often in her life time and time again people have shown Mish that they don’t really care about her. Her own parents didn’t need her so they left her own grandmother did not need the perils attached with raising her so she give her away and now she believes that she is a burden on BP and BM. They are just doing this out of courtesy and no one really needs her but she is so wrong. BP and BM need her because in many ways she has filled that void in their lives left by Akshara’s death. They see a bit of Akshara in her which help them cope with their pain of losing their only daughter. Misthi might not be their daughter by blood but she is their daughter by heart and that is the only thing that matters. Our homeboy Abir desperately needs her because in a way his angry chorni has healed his broken heart in away she has introduced him to the idea of real, pure and honest love and he will not be willing to let her go so easily.
