I loved today's episode, though there were a lot of family scenes, just because of Mishti's restlessness to talk to Abir and the show-stealing Mishbir moment at the end that has broken gender stereotypes on ITV.👏 👏I am glad that we finally have a male lead who respects women and does not manhandle them under any circumstances. I just hope that his character remains like this throughout the show.

I'm so proud of YRHPK and its makers for this iconic role reversal, since we now have a strong, confident heroine that doesn't cower or tremble at the proximity of the hero, but instead corners the hero to get her point across. She also doesn't take crap from anyone (especially jealous Kuhu), despite having a sad backstory, and is not one to give up on her beliefs or be hurt/crying all the time. With every episode, I'm even more thoroughly impressed with Shaheer Sheikh's acting and my love for Abir grows. After today's episode, I have finally warmed up to Rhea Sharma as well, and am confident that the Mishbir romantic moments will be amazing when they finally come along, and Shaheer-Rhea do indeed have good chemistry. ⭐️

The highlight of today's episode was the last two minutes with Mishti dragging Abir away into a room and pinning him to a wall after shushing him, of course. Unfortunately, Abir is a bit too tall for Mishti's liking (lambu kahin ke) so she orders him to stay put while she gets a stool to stand on, now towering above him and pinning him against the wall with both of her hands. I love how he complies and is like a deer caught in headlights. Abir is completely taken aback, yet lets Mishti do whatever she wants without as much as flinching.

After today, I have a strong feeling that Mishti will have the upper hand in their marriage as the guy is a true goner and obeys his girl's orders to the T. Abir, I'm sure, undergoes a multitude of emotions in the moment. He is surprised, curious, nervous, excited, happy, and confused all at the same. I actually feel bad for Abir because Mishti was sending him so many wrong signals without even realizing it. She's making him fall for her more and more with each passing day, yet has completely friend-zoned him from her end and is also oblivious to Abir's feelings.

It's clear that Abir was misunderstanding Mishti's intentions today because of the proximity she created between them after dragging him away to a room. Mishti also says things that leave Abir flushed. These are things like "I got you after much difficulty, so I won't let you go now", "I need to talk to you alone", and " I don't understand what's going on... I tried talking to Kunal and wasn't able to tell him, so I thought that I could tell you directly instead because I'm sure you'll understand me ".

I'm actually not entirely sure what Abir was thinking in the scene, so I'd love to hear your opinions on this. First he replies that he isn't going anywhere when Mishti talks about not letting him go, and then mentions that they are indeed alone when Mishti says that she needs to talk to him in private. Then, he says that he doesn't understand what's going on.

Based on his reactions, it seems like Abir was somewhere expecting a low-key confession from Mishti that she has feelings for him and can't proceed with Kunal's alliance, after the stunt she pulled. What do you think? Is this what he was expecting or is it a far stretch for him to conclude that as he was quite dazed?

We all know that Mishti isn't confessing to anything, but I can't help but wonder what Abir's reaction would have been if that were the situation. Is he actually ready to acknowledge anything at this point if Mishti were to say that she has feelings for him and can't proceed with Kunal's alliance for that reason?

I have a big feeling now that Mishti will be the first to confess that she loves Abhir...
I agree to your point...Mishti is sending all wrong signals to Abhir 😆 ...

I feel he is stuned seeing how comfortable she is with him..the way she bindass talks to him without thinking...that must have astonished him..The way she bindaasss hits him and declares him her friend... 😆

I am waiting for tomorrows epi...when Mishti will wear that Abhir wala dress 😆

I think it was a very very nice scene. Mishty is completely looking at him as a friend and someone who understands her and can stand up for the right thing like her. Abir is completely taken aback by her behaviour. I don't think he's expecting a confession but he is truely confused and mesmerised with her at the same time. I think maybe he will realise that he is drawn to her before she does. He may not confess first due to his brothers rishta with her and all that but he will realise his feelings first,

@bold blue. Kuhu is the flip side of Abir. She is more "angry" than "jealous". And Kunal is making it even more hard for her with his interactions with her. His apology, his want to know how she feels is making it difficult for her to accept what is happening now. Especially because there was the talk of Kuhu -- Kunal marriage, but never Abir -- Mishti at any time. Kuhu was rejected, but Abir was never rejected. Abir was not even in that equation while Kuhu was there. She was forcefully routed from that equation by Meenu. And no one from her family, nor from Rajvansh family, except Kunal has given her a safe place to relieve her pain. It is festering inside her.

Abir doesn't behave like Kuhu because Kunal is his "younger brother". In India, the older siblings are told over and over again how they should take care of their younger siblings. How they should protect them and how their happiness is the older siblings responsibility. Here Abir is given that responsibility. Especially with the father being out of the picture, the need to make sure Kunal gets everything has always been Abir's responsibility. He has become used to everything being given to Kunal and him accepting that as how it is. Even his mother's love.

But Kuhu is not the older sister of Mishti. So the family's expectation of her always making way for Mishti, where they every time Mishti becomes the center of universe is hard for her. If Mishti has been a victim of fate, Kuhu is Mishti's victim. Neither Kuhu nor Mishti asked for it, but it is Kuhu who has been feeling the rejection ever since Mishti has come to Maheshwari house. Even in yesterday's episode, the family don't even start talking about Kuhu and her like for Ikebana classes, they immediately shift focus to Mishti. Everyone revolves around Mishti and show overt concern regarding her. Misthi eclipses Kuhu every time. And it hurts. That is what Kuhu is expressing. She was not responsible for Mishti's state, yet she is asked to shoulder the consequences. And she lashes out.

Kunal has interacted with Kuhu in such a way where he comes off as this caring, kind and understanding guy. He was the only one who apologized to her. He is constantly seeking her out. So from Kuhu's pov, when she sees Mishti questioning such a good guy, it makes her angry. She also feels sad that she didn't get such a good guy for herself. That whole conversation with that chunri has affected her.

I totally agree that this series is breaking stereo types, not just in the dynamics of the love story, but also in the familial relationships.

Completely agree on your assessment of Kuhu, Shaavi (and she remains my favourite of the four leads). In addition to all of this, Kuhu is the one who actually wanted to get married right now, Mishti didn't. The whole rishta process was supposed to be about her, and in the end, not only did it become about Misthi, but in her eyes, Misthi is sucking in even more time and attention with her shart. I haven't watched today's episode yet, but I imagine Kuhu is comunicating something like, "for once, why can't you do something without creating a whirlpool of drama that drags the whole family in?" Obviously I am not saying Mishti's "marital courtship" idea is wrong -- and neither is Kuhu, as she expressed herself -- but I find Kuhu's low tolerance for the drama that seems to follow Mishti around very relateable. 😆

Of course Mishti is not the real source of the needless (melo)drama, and the show is portraying very effectively how hard it can be for young people to communicate their common sense to badi-baatein-vale bade of the family. Here, Rajshri's overreaction to the threat of Naman is driving a wedge between the sisters, and there, Meenu's well-intentioned but hypocritical authoritarianism is driving a wedge between the brothers. Seems like the overall arc is the youngsters seeing through these insecurities and not letting fear govern the way they live their lives, as their parents have.

Kuhu is my favorite lead too. 😃 . I feel she is the one who is highly misunderstood because of the way she expresses her feelings. She gets overwhelmed easily and in that moment blurts our her feelings such that she comes off as a spoiled brat. But most of the time I feel her words mirror Abir.

On the outside, Abir comes off as this great guy who is not that affected by Kunal and Mishti's intended alliance. He is even seen to push Kunal and Mishti towards this relationship. But in reality what he is saying to both of them is talk to each other so that you guys can realize that you are not suitable for each other. 😆 😆 . He tells Kunal to accept the courtship condition saying probably you will not like her after getting to know her. He tells Mishti that she shouldn't back off from her condition, has to stand firm on her decision, but asks "you will take the right decision after this, right?. 😆 😆 He likes being in this advisory role where he can pull both the strings since he kind of knows the outcome. He is expecting Mishti and Kunal to reject each other by themselves and then for Mishti to choose him.

All characters are grey, some more than others in this series too. And I am really liking the way the story telling is progressing.

As always ... neatly said yar 😊 😊 ...

Our society is such that what ever the elders do..is and has to be right... and taking the opinions and POV of the youngsters is like scratching the ego of the elders...

Meenu's ego gets hit when Abhir tries to prove his point..and here Rajshree thinks that girls have to mellow and not put any conditions..
I can alteast defend Rajshree because she actually has come a very very long...if you see the initial episodes of YRKKH...Baap re...she was such an orthodox lady...

Kuhu remains my fav to...and right now Kaveri doing a good job 😆 😆 ...
