Kunal ko bohot hi confused banaya hai yaar. He is so inconsistent! We want to see a badass version of Kunal who only loves Kuhu and Abir once his birth truth gets revealed!
I actually think Ritvik is really good as Kunal although Kunal as a character is really frustrating. He is good hearted but completely manipulated by his mother. He just blindly follows what she says and does it without using his brains. The only time he actually used his brains was when it came to believing Mishti about Ketki's to be husband when she proved he was already married that was the only time the brother in him took prevalence over the ideal son in him.
I guess Kunal was too young to remember his father so he believes whatever cock and bull story meenu told him about why she is separated and how difficult it was for her. Abir on the other hand does remember his father and knows he wouldn't just abandon them.. and he sees his mother for what she is.. he cares for her but isn't blinded by her.
Kunal is a complex character and has many shades to him... and I do think I would have hated his character had it not been ritvik playing it. He gives the character a certain amount of sincerity and honesty. I don't think he allows you to feel kunal is negative but makes you see that he is layered.

Ritvik is more than decent actor- i am waiting for Kunal's parentage out so we get some good stuff..all this Mishti hate is getting repetitive
