I agree with you Namrata. Kunal's characterization has changed drastically after the leap and he is now almost unrecognizable. In fact I was watching few older episodes of the show and he seems like a different character in those episodes. The character development of Kunal's character has been really disappointing, mostly because he changed drastically in matter of few days. I would have loved to see a gradual change in Kunal where he actually repents his past actions towards Kuhu, Parul and Mishti. Kunal's major storyline was his birth secret and divorce. Both these storyline were watered down and anti climactic.

It is completely understandable why Ritvik seems unhappy with the treatment his character. His social media posts do give cryptic hints about his dissatisfaction. Whatever decision he makes I will be happy because if he returns we will get more Kuku scenes and if he doesn't, we will most definitely get to see him in a fresh show as soon as the COVID situation is under control. But like you said he does deserve better.

Btw which duppata show are your taking about? I see flying dupatta in every ITV show. 😆

If and when Kunal returns, can he atleast go to the office wearing his suits? ❤️

I will be happy if he quits.He can come in a fresh show next year when situation improves.As the show is coming after a gap he can easily move out and cvs can give justified end to his character.Kaveri being a new comer had to stick to this show till the makers want.She don't have that luxury which can hamper her bio.

What i love is transparency that gets improved aa the show progressed ...

Kunal doesn't shy away from expressing his disappointments however childish it may sound , come on he is speaking with his bhai and he is totally uncensored with him !

Abir doesn't shy away from calling him out when he goes wrong because he wants people to recognise him as a better person and make then see kunal's real side , he takes care of him as his own child !

Kunal at times becomes Abir's right hand and partner in crime

Abir becomes his philosopher, guide , his best friend

I hope thier bond goes stronger in the story

To imply that that is his only role when it comes to his relationship with his brother is a disservice to everything he has done for his family, and how much more he's willing to do. The whole point of Abir and Kunal's relationship is that Kunal has had to take on the responsibility of essentially being the "older" son, by getting involved in the family business and working with the family's elders, and constantly being a pillar of support for all of his family members, while Abir is the son that is a little more "free-spirited" and chooses to live against the norm of what is expected from the elder son. That's why their relationship is unique.

I don't find their relationship wonderful because Abir "takes care of him as his own child" (because he doesn't), and I certainly don't think that Kunal is a satellite or Abir's faithful sidekick, because that would imply that he takes things lying down. The dynamics of their relationship are special and intriguing because while the two are equally devoted to each other, there is always a push and pull factor in their relationship that draws them apart and brings them back together again.
