Problem here is that Monica and Joey were friends. While Ruhi and Armaan have a history and he also happens to be her BIL. A man who has told her in no uncertain terms that he is only and only loves his wife. That's why Friends scenario here looks so disgusting

I never liked Ruhi and always felt she was selfish and self centered with no respect for boundaries or relationships…Abhira too trusting in her quest to have Armaan’s child made the wrong decision to have her as surrogate and should have stuck to saying NO at the temple ..she had resigned herself to that until Ar came and agreed for surrogacy! Abhira’s want of their child stems from constant taunts received from Dadisa , shraap from vile Vidya ..BSP death for which she didn’t get closure! The taunts and pointing out her inability to bear a child has made her feel less of a woman and degraded her self esteem to such a low level that she is showing blind trust for her so called sister!
