I completely agree with your perspective! However, you mentioned that Armaan asked Abhira how she could love him because he didn’t believe he could be loved. But didn’t Ruhi love him before she got married? At that time, did he not think he deserved love? After all, at one point, he had feelings for Ruhi too.

I’m just curious because I love analyzing characters in depth. I’m not questioning Armaan’s character in a negative way—just trying to understand his mindset better.

Ruhi's love (i don't even want to call it love because it was her obsession more than anything) for him was very superficial. Again, I've not seen the early episodes where they fell in love. Also i guess even deep down Armaan knew that what Ruhi felt wasn't love and that's why she said yes to Rohit when he didn't pick her phonecall. whereas in case of Abhira he did act horribly towards her especially in RuMaal track. So after all that it was hard for him to comprehend that she can love him.

Waise real life mein aisa ho toh life awkward nahi ho jayega? Just imagine—your sister or cousin had a past with your husband and was his first love. Any woman would naturally feel insecure for a long time. To build a normal and happy married life, one of the couples would likely have to move out and live separately.

Yeah, that's valid. Even I missed out on the initial RuhAan scenes.

I completely agree. The shift from a female-centric narrative to a male perspective in Gen 3 and 4 has hurt the show’s essence. The female leads no longer get the depth and strong arcs they once had, which has led to a major disconnect with the audience.

The TV audience is primarily women who want to experience the male lead through a female perspective and fall in love with him, rather than the other way around. Older women, who weren’t simply fangirling over the actor playing Abhimanyu, struggled to connect with his character. They wanted to understand Akshara, but the show never allowed that, as she was written into a selfish and unlikeable role. TV audiences typically expect their female leads to be pure and selfless, which Akshara was not.

A similar pattern emerged in Generation 4. When the writers recognized talent, they leaned into it. RoPu’s emotional scenes drove TRPs, leading to a shift in focus toward his character. His perspective became more prominent, especially after AbhiMaan’s first divorce. You can see the shift in character dynamics after RoPu joined the cast and following AbhiMaan’s proposal scene. The earlier episodes (with Shehzada and Sam) had a fresh appeal, but RoPu’s entry steered the show in a different, more mature direction. This shift happened because both leads—and even the parallel lead—were exceptionally skilled, but in the process, the original essence of Generation 4 was lost.

I agree with 1000%. The audience is female. So they want to see good treatment given to female character who is the lead. They want to see her problems getting solved, they want to hear her perspectives, they want her to be happy. We can to see what she feels in every situation. I am one of them . I started watching only because of abhira. But after rohit 's entry I liked as well. The chemistry was amazing. But I really hate abhira's emotions, feelings, her struggles, pain is never shown. Nobody cares what she feels. Innumerable times she is insulted but times. There is no scene of Apology. When watching a watch people want comfort . And comfort watching how well women is treated by her. Which people want to see. Since the audience is majorly female we can connect with female perspective majorly. Bcz male perspectives should also be shown. In real female perspective is not shown at all in the show. Abhira just cries alone. I wish they would sensitive topics for improving the thinking of society and bringing a positive change. By showing how abhira's in laws support her help her. They show support towards her in difficult times. And don't just blame her for everything thing.

Ruhi definitely didn't feel this deep love for Armaan and vice versa. It was an infatuation, which Armaan realized later, but Ruhi's just grew into an obsession. She never loved him. Otherwise, she wouldn't have agreed to marry Rohit so quickly.

Armaan couldn't understand how Abhira could love him because he's always felt that he isn't worthy of love, so when someone had unconditionally fallen in love with him, despite his poor behavior towards her, it was so alien to him. It was like her forgotten all those times he'd been incredibly good to her as well.
