Onus of talking before filing case to sort things falls on poddars though. If they want out of court settlement they should convey they remorse effectively enough that Abhir agrees to let case go. If Abhir wants court case, Abhira cannot convince him to agree for settlement . I think her pov is that since they are not claiming its a premeditated hate crime and V is first time offender, she'll get away with a hefty fine and social service etc. She is certainly trying to avoid fighting the case in a way that makes it seem as if V is a cold blooded person. She has instructed state lawyer and goenkas accordingly. She held back today when Sanjay blatantly lied to avoid doing anything rashly. She wants insaaf for her bro without V being given too harsh a punishment . But Sanjays antics makes Vs side super weak now because not only did Vs lawyer attempt to misguide court by falsifying evidence, it looks as if they are utterly inhumane towards the victim who is now a handicapped, devastated , suicidal man thanks to this event in his life. Emotions do play a small part in judgements. One bts clip had Sanjay mention that judge lost her son in hit and run so that will also play on her mind. Abhir is too emotionally and physically hurt to be able to have discussions on merits of settlement instead of case. And the only thing that could have prevented court case is if poddars had let go of ego and conveyed heartfelt remorse which they didnt do. if Abhira doesn't stand by Abhir she will lose him forever because he'll never trust her. He has been let down by too many people including family. If his sister is also gonna give him explanation for why she cannot help him when he is clearly the victim who deserves justice, he will never bond with her . Abhira cant tolerate that thought. For her Abhir is a parchayi of her mother. Losing him is like losing Akshara all over again.

Technically Vidya did try to reach Abhir to apologize. 😀 Abhira refused to allow her to talk - which again made no sense. Abhir can refuse to talk or listen to Vidya , Abhira needn’t take decisions on his behalf. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also Armaan did tell Abhira that we should discuss this and try to solve it and not go to court in haste.

She listened to neither. So now why is she crying g the place down is my question 😅 I really don’t understand .

No matter how well the poor leads act - there is no ‘dum’ in the script , so there’s very little connect or impact - I feel bad for them.🥹

It's abhir who wants justice and abhira is just helping him out and also abhira poddar ki tarah nhi hei vile kisi k sath aise hote toh khush hogi simple as that.

barely. she made Ruhi call. khud call bhi nahi kiya. and Abhira didnt give a blanket refusal. she said it in the context of Abhir just having had a meltdown and needing some time to just be calm. Armaan should have focused on pushing the court date and buying time for Abhir to calm down and ensured that the Poddars genuinely convey their regret. galti ki hai toh thode papad belne padte hai to gain audience with the person you want to apologize to. Poddars attitude has been as if they are doing a favor by even considering offering an apology. Kaveri and Madhav should have gone as elder representatives to speak calmly to MG and Swarna. But Kaveri was acting as if Goenkas are unreasonable if they are upset over this- afterall accident hi tha, koi badi baat nahi.

The Armaan that refused to accept signed DP realizing it was done in emotional impulse and focused on manaoing his wife gave up so easily and could not convince his family to try harder to work on conveying regret about something so major.

Abhir's life is over. surely he wont be waiting to meet Vidya and listen to her explanations and forgive. they needed to keep trying until they can convince him that they really do regret their deeds and are willing to compensate with everything short of jail time.

Poddars attitude right from the time of revelation to now is one of arrogance and entitlement.
