In Indian television, showing women as jealous or petty is a frustrating stereotype that has been around for too long.
Characters like Ruhi(no matter how much I don't like her), who show jealousy toward a baby without any real reason, seem unrealistic and only add to the idea that women are naturally jealous.
This kind of portrayal makes female characters look shallow and one-sided. It’s strange that while men in similar situations are shown as mature or even friendly(taboo generation even ex and current were best friends), women are shown as unable to have healthy, supportive relationships with other women—even their own sisters.
(Seerat never faced naira lol)
This outdated idea ignores the reality that women often share strong, positive bonds and support each other, especially within families. By always showing women as rivals instead of friends, TV misses a chance to show how strong women’s relationships can be. Society deserves more real and balanced portrayals, not these old stereotypes.
