This is exactly why it gives me the ick to see Abhira think of her as a mother and tell Armaan that his family loves him. Abhira has had to call her out on multiple occasions about the step motherly treatment she has meted out to Armaan yet she is too weak to call her out on her hypocrisy and double standards when it comes to her own self.

Exactly. I dont get the people who want to call out Armaan, saying he is forcing Abhira. Kahaan pe force kar raha hai yaar - all he did was tell her that he would be waiting for her at the madap and it is her choice if she wants to marry him. Waise bhi saari taiyyari hui hai and it was their haldi, all he did was go ahead with it because he wants to marry Abhira knowing everything. Again in this case also, Armaan is showing his priorities and choices very clearly to Abhira - he wants her in sickness & health, and there is nothing wrong in him being very clear in his approach for that.
