I might be wrong here but honestly if anything, I've only seen the MLs of every gen in this show doing one or multiple jobs consistently barring season 1 smiley37 Naitik used to do office regularly until Akshara joined and she even became a teacher in SA! Kartik was employed with Naitik, then joined Goenkas and also became professor for a bit Naira was an aspiring dancer who got her academy and once that track was done she barely worked until it paved way for a leap.. Gen 3 tho ML and PL were doctors but FL was aspirational singer who became music therapist for a bit and eventually turned lawyer towards the end of that season! So this is really the first time Rishta has a FL in a professional job! But that is also only because it paved the way for the entry of the ML's family which is the family around which whole season is built in every generation.. so professional or not, FLs largely only serve the purpose of sorting all kinds of issues and situations in the ML's family! Their own career aspirations also only serve any purpose in that respect only!
