If Ar does it, it will redeem him slightly but will also significantly reduce the impact of soulmate revelation on Ab which is a drama item considering how they made it a point multiple times to show that Ab thinks it is arranged marriage.. Writers would mostly choose drama over Ar redemption 😀It could be as simple as a MG heart attack if that relative plays dirty and Sanjay amplifies it so that the marriage do not go through or at the other end Rohit return if writers are still keeping that card..
