Kartik-Sirat journey as husband-wife was for 2 months long only (mid-August, September, mid-October) in yrrkh (episode-wise), the sole purpose was to introduce their daughter as PL.

In gen 4 yrkkh is still among Top 3-4 most-watched ITV shows overall.

@red Yes, we cannot compare Gen 1, 2, 3, 4 TRP as TRP of Gen 1 is always better among all generations.

Gen 2 viewers have seen it, and Gen 3 viewers have seen it and Gen 4 people are already seeing it or may see it worse in the future too. So there is nothing special to discuss about it. But my main point is legacy does not matter to viewers as they are not possessive about ITV characters. They look for drama if they see there is no drama they just switch channels.If legacy mattered for the ITV audience Gen 4 beginning trp would have been 2.5 but it was just 1.4 who are regular viewers. The remaining people are the new audience who hardly cares about the parents of FL. I am not a legacy viewer but when joined the forum I hardly cared who the mother of FL and who the father of FL and what they did in the previous gen. as it does not matter to me. I am here for the current-gen story.

I feel gen 2 viewers are not a 40+ audience as I do not think trp audience can watch kaira romance on TV with family. They were youths who were watching for the main couple. Even Gen 3 had its own fanbase and they left and Gen 4 also has its own fanbase.
