My two cents on yrkkh season 4:
What I understood about the characters is-
Armaan - Needs to grow a spine, stop feeling indebted to poddar fam (except vidya to a certain limit), stop being pendulum, respect his (supposedly late) brother's relationship, have a command over others coz come on, he is apparently the best lawyer in the city. Also needs to say things directly like if he (god/writer forbids) wants to have relationship with Ruhi after the year ends then needs to convey it clearly to both Ruhi and Abhira and if not then also should convey it to Ruhi directly and in a harsh way with exact reason so she stops pinning over him. His main problem is he wants to please everyone and that's why at the end only he suffers.
A redeemable character as for now but if he continues being like this then it would get hard to root for him or abhiman. Also it would be disaster if they'll follow lost track.
Ruhi - An unlikable character as for now. I can understand where is she coming from i.e. loosing more then half of family specially as a child can be traumatic. But trauma do not give free paas to treat others badly (in most shows people say this about ml). She met Ar, fell in love and start considering him her soulmate all in 4-5 days then considered him cheater in 2 days, and said yes to marry someone else. If he was your true love then why you did not trust him and if you cannot trust him as he is practically a stranger then why consider him your soulmate. And she is 28-29 and not some teen or in early 20s who is naive or without the experience of practical world. Forget about things that happen after her husband supposedly died, coz even when Rohit was alive and was with her, she only had eyes on Ar making mockery of her 'real' marriage. If she considered Ar her love from whom she could never move on, she would have never married anyone else. And now when Ar is married (deal or no deal doesn't matter) she should maintain distance, respect his personal life and his wife not only because of her wife status but as a fellow human too. And the lowest was when she was mocking abhira coz of her father even when she herself is in same situation. Even in today's episode she was behaving as if Abhira falsely accused her to Vidya about bringing divorce papers, she is not understanding what she is doing is wrong and can spoil her image in front of others. She says she is permanent bahu of Poddars unlike Abhira but she was the first one who made mockery of her marriage with Rohit by using him to get close to Ar. (She did way before Abhimaan deal shadi) And she is still using Rohit to stay in PH.
Though till now she is behaving like a selfish human and not as some vamp who plans and plot, insults, murders and kidnaps (again saying till now) so she is still redeemable.
I hope makers don't spoil her character more and makes her mature and move on in life.
Abhira - The only character I am liking so far. She lived in the protective bubble filled with love made by her mother so she has a normal past unlike ml and pl, but loosing the one person who was your everything can make a huge impact. Her marriage to Ar by her mother was one of the rash decision as she was concerned over her safety coz of Yuvraaj and Ab knew the only reason Ar married her was out of guilt so she made the deal as she doesn't want to tie a stranger. The thing I like most about her is she speaks her heart/mind out directly without going rounds and rounds (unlike Ar) and stands with right side not only becoz she considers Poddars as family but as humans with emotions. Also glad she doesn't believe in elders are always right coz they are elder and stand with bowed head as their puppet. About considering herself alone is because all her current relations are coz of Ar and if he is not with her then why would they. Also they don't even allow her to eat with them, were against her studying as she is a female then how can she consider them as her family.
Ar himself told he will never go back to his ex and things have permanently ended between them, this could also be the reason she started liking him and he gave her family when she was alone, takes care of her that's why she consider it love, seeing her age and past she doesn't have experience in romantically involved with someone that's why she misunderstood his care for something else.
It would be much better if she focuses on her career and be better lawyer then poddars or better say bansal as only Sanjay gives vibes of shrewd lawyer and he is head of P firm.
Not a big fan of ott characters but it's ok if the character has potential.
I hope they maintain her character and not butcher it in future (which is impossible in itv).
Rest family - They are not the best out there but comparing to super toxic lost fam they are less toxic. Favourite is definitely manisha chachi and then comes madhav, manoj, vidya(till when?), cousins (except charu). Dadisa is just prioritising her ego otherwise her character has potential. Chachi-chacha are the cutest couple.
Goenkas are irritating.
The only thing I am disliking is dragging of tracks. They have so many things to show like Abhira identity revelation, R - Ar reveal, Ro comeback, Dadisa's kand, Ar mother's story, random marriages, random court cases etc. but they are keen on recreating previous scenes which is getting boring and show is losing viewership.
Though I generally don't watch ITV, especially long-running shows, a random clip got me interested in this season, and now I am stuck here. Was a silent member of the forum and now decided to share my opinion.
