I hate Armaan right now but despite that, RoPu made me feel his pain and fear in that first scene ..gotta give the devil its due ..take this RoPu …he did not say ‘Tumhe kuch hojata toh main Akshara Ma’am ko kya jawab deta”...he said ‘main mar jaata’..that was fear of losing something more valuable than your life talking …not guilt ..he may not recognize it for what it is today, tomorrow or until Abhira is lost to him at least temporarily ..but some day he is going to repent for every stupid act of his ..that’s a given ..he might lose her altogether ..that might be his karma …but he will go to pieces some day !

Armaan will always sheild ruhi, even if it's exposed in front of family, he might keep quite & take entire blame on him. Abhira or rohit will have to defend him he won't say anything to justify himself.

What I meant in the early response is that, if chachi confronts armaan about the love letter, he will guess it's from ruhi, so he will alert her not repeat these sort of dramas in front of family or in their house. That will make it difficult for chachi in her investigation.

He wants to protect himself not ruhi actually uska image but yes he is gonna be doomed once the truth is out and abhira will have to defend him. Actually he is feared because of that only kahi sabko pata chala toh kya hoga usko malum hei things will be very weird when everyone will know it's ruhi whom ar loved at first and she is his SIL now.
