Yeah. I never took it as EMA until I came online and saw some. She talked about caring about the families and find a way where they wont have problem with them so she clearly didn’t mean EMA. She keeps wanting Armaan to stand up to their relationship and make families come in agreement with them, but he keeps rejecting. He puts his family above everyone. He’s fine pinning for Ruhi and be away from her where she’s not and wants to fight for their relationship still. Tbh I would be so mad at such guy. She doesn’t deserve him. I can never relate to such people. I think men look up to authority and family more than women. Men will leave the girl over family whereas women want to fight for the love most of the times. I have seen so many people from India complaining online how they aren’t happy in their marriages because they loved someone else and all but couldn’t be with due to family, caste, etc.

Ruhi's beech ka rasta is meant EMA only until unless said otherwise by dialogues..

She used words like relationship and beech ka rasta in one sentence and it means only EMA....

And not only emotional very well physical also...becoz she always touches armaan without any 2nd thought..

Armaan understand this also thats why he was so disgusted and angry becoz before this he never ever so strongly refused ruhi but this time he did..

So anyone who thinks otherwise need to go and watch that scene...

And give here whats their interpretation of beech ka rasta which is more understandable than EMA....

Also, I fail to understand why they never explore the concept of "Self Respect" for 3rd leads? For heroines they give all good bhashans and lines that I have self respect , I will earn my own money, I won't fall for you, etc. But why this doormat treatment for PLs? Aren't they also a main character in someone else's story? Why can't a PL backoff herself when she sees the guy is genuinely not interested? Why do they have to be insulted and berated by the ML again and again till they turn completely shameless and leave no stone unturned till they get the guy?

All that makes sense for ladies who are poor (they maybe doing all this for money) or ladies who are uneducated and uncultured (they might not know what is right and what is wrong), but for modern independent women, this kind of doormat and psychotic behavior is really offputting.
