Whatever Armaan is doing is not out of character or out of the blue. He believed he loved Ruhi at that time (Which we know is not really possible. Love is much deeper than attraction and some dreams. And it takes lot of time to fall in love. Armaan's feelings for Ruhi was never strong and that's what Ruhi is realizing now. She compared her and Abhira in respect to Armaan.) and has been guilt tripped multiple times by Ruhi and Swarna. He was once sad because Ruhi was married to Rohit. But now he is uncomfortable of her presence. He values her of course and wants her to be happy. But he does not have any feelings for her anymore. Everyone except this three idiots can see that.

Trust me, if tomorrow some guy comes and falls in love with Abhira and Abhira too befriends him, he would be devastated. Armaan is not taking Ruhi for granted, he is taking Abhira for granted. He never stops Abhira when she asserts her right as his wife, even in front of Ruhi. He could never let go of her but he might lose her because of his oscillating behavior.

You are forgetting that Ruhi told him she only returned because he promised her she will be his top priority. Otherwise she will dash out the front door the next second. Phirse sorry texts, some more vaadas and even more taunts from Abhira. What do you expect him to say to Dadisa? I denied Ruhi ema so she left home. He never do that.

The minute armaan tells ruhi to maintain her boundaries she's packing her bags because her 'umeed' is lost and she has no reason to live in poddar house. Again armaan has to bring her back and again he will do anything to do bring her back and we viewers will be the one who get tortured again. He simply has no way out of this situation till the truth is out before the family or Rohit is back
