He gets mesmerized whenever he sees AK in different attires by default. It is something he cannot control . This uncontrollable behaviour of him has led to this stage of his life.

What I feel is he suffered all through his life, since childhood due to the dysfunctional family and a controlling mother. His whole anger issues stems from there. Then he fell in love with a girl who is sacrificial and poor soul never had any happiness all through his life. And he is not able to move on also.

At least give him a few moments or days of happiness before he exit the story.

He too deserves a bit of happiness, right?

People waste their lives in gambling and other addictions, it gives them momentarily happiness like An was happy when he saw the Kasauli special but it led him to a drunken deaths. Good, bad, better and happiness are relative terms. And the person himself has to decide what is good and bad for him and what gives him happiness. If Abhimanyu feels being with Akshara and Abhir and baby makes him happy and that's good for him, that only will make him happy, right?

It is like in our lives, many occasions parents and friends suggest what to study, what profession to choose, where to go vacation, whom to marry, whether to quit a high paid job to follow your passion etc., but ultimately you have to decide what makes you happy and what is good for you. After all it is your own life. And you have every right to choose what is good and makes you happy.

Same as that Abhimanyu can decide and why others have a problem with that.

The real issue with Manjari (and fans) is not that Abhi will not be happy, real issue is that Abhi-Akshara-Abhir family with Abhinav baby is something Manjari (and fans) will not be happy to see. So ultimately, Manjari (and fans) are choosing their happiness over Abhi's happiness. That's the sad part of Abhi's life that his own mother is choosing her happiness over his happiness, even after he is a fully grown adult she is not letting him choose his own happiness.

Dr is mad for akshara. He wants her that bad. Same with akshara. Whether or not we accept it , doesn't matter...also it doesn't matter whT they said or did 2 months bk or 7 years bk. Akshara claiming Dr to he puncture Tyre is history. Aise hi Jaise wd and abhimanyus actions thereafter ..every minute the narrative changes ..

One thing I did not understand today. Mahima told Abhi is leaving everything for one person. His mother, home and now hospital. I thought Dr Birla is leaving hospital because he does not agree for new VIP hospital built on charity funds. What does Akshara has to do with that? And Akshara also said that he is loosing everything for her. How does his quitting BH is related to her? It's because his morals and ethics don't allow him to stand with this un ethical thing, right?

Or did I miss something in between?

No, you heard it right and did not miss anything. I find that dialogue unsuitable for the scene. He is against on that decision because of his principles and ideals. It has nothing to do with Akshara at all. 🤦‍♀️

Yeh sach hei abhimanyu is leaving because he does not agree with that decision but inko esmei b ak ko lana hei.
